The Natural Solutions Foundation has repeatedly warned that the Fiscal Cliff is about more than taxes and out-of-control Government spending and borrowing. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Fiscal Cliff is, in reality, about the new regulations designed to stifle international transactions.<\/em><\/p>\n

After that date, international wire transfers will not only be subject to regulations (including the 30% withholding tax), but apparently will be forbidden unless they are in the local currency of the country to which they are sent.<\/p>\n

Transfers to certain countries are forbidden (e.g., Philippines, Columbia) and huge grey areas are indicated so that it is not clear that many transfers will take place at all.<\/p>\n
