Does Silver Causes Cytokine Storms? No

The US FDA, known in the circles in which I travel as the “Fraud and Death Administration”, has apparently decided that the First Amendment is neither binding upon it nor of much interest. It does that in two ways: first, it exerts gag order authority upon people who want to let you know the truth about what a natural product, substance, molecule or preparation does to enhance or support your health, whether you have any financial or other connection to the product or not. Only a very narrow type of health claim, called a “Structure/Function Claim” is “permitted” by the self designated “protectors” of your knowledge. They do not have the law on their side, but they do have the enormous might of the US Government, including their own legal department and the US Department of Justice. Small manufacturers rarely have the resources to fight their illegal, unconstitutional and absurd rulings. Occasionally, however, they do, and when they do, with attorneys like Natural Solutions Foundation Trustee Ralph Fucetola, JD, they often come out on the right side of justice. That road trip, however, is very, very expensive.

The second way that the FDA stifles your knowledge is to tell you in advance, called ‘prior restraint’, what you may or may not say about something. In this case, they say that it is forbidden speech to tell anyone that ANYTHING except vaccines (which are totally unproven for EITHER safety or efficacy against the Swine Flu) or drugs, specifically the very dangerous Tamiflu (c) and Relenza (c) may be used to prevent, treat, mitigate or cure H1N1 virus.
Venus
Well, so much for immunology, biochemistry, virology, nutritional medicine and common sense. This amazing flu virus is so novel that not only does it travel through time, leading to at least two patents for the manufacture of the vaccines to “prevent” it to be applied for and granted BEFORE it appeared mysteriously, like Venus from the forehead of Zeus, from absolutely nowhere, but it also makes you sick by mechanisms that have nothing to do with physiology, pathology or any other “ology”. If it were not so astonishingly mysterious, the many ways in which the body counters viruses would apply. Alas, no vitamin, no nutrient, no immune support, nothing but two Big Pharma money makers will have any impact on the nasty, swiny, birdy, magical thing.

But wait! There’s ever so much more.

Now we have the Cytokine Storm which is the source of death in the Swine Flu! Never mind the fact that it is not clear from any forensically meaningful evidence of any kind that
1. The Swine Flu can be diagnosed with any degree of certainly since tests seem to be running about 90% inaccurate, making chicken entrails a better diagnostic system than the tests approved – and rapidly abandoned – by CDC and WHO.

2. The Swine Flu actually exists. No independent scientist of whom I am aware has actually characterized the virus, which requires isolating it from an organism, introducing it into another organism and reproducing the disease. That may have happened, but none of the scientists whom I know of have any reports that this has, indeed, occurred.

3. No one that I am aware of knows how the Swine Flu kills because there is no clear evidence that it ever has killed anyone. It appears, and this is not clear, that some people have died WITH the Swine Flu virus, assuming that it actually exists. However, all of them had underlying medical conditions which, as far as I am aware, is what killed them or, like the pregnant woman “with” Swine Flu (unconfirmed by lab tests) in India who was in Intensive Care in Mumbai (Bombay) when her baby was born and died, they may well have been killed by Tamiflu, a dangerous and ineffective anti-viral making Hoffman LaRoche, Donald Rumsfeld and, reportedly, President Obama and his cronies a great deal of money. So the idea that because the 1918 virus has been retroactively decided to kill by “Cytokine Storm” this flu kills the same way, given the fact that it does not actually seem to do very much killing, is beyond absurd. Hysterical, yes. Great press, yes. But science? Oh, I think not.

So now we come to the question of whether silver, especially nano silver, is the cause of a cytokine storm reaction and could, if it is, be the cause of a cytokine storm if one is infected with Swine Flu and then serve as a contributory factor in death.

That question was posed by a woman who had read something of the sort in the newsletter of a very popular health guru. Generally, I admire this person for his way of sharing information and for getting things right most of the time. This time, however, I am afraid that he got the information wrong. We all do sometimes, and his credibility should not be in the least tarnished by this, but he is not, I believe, correct. Silver, especially nano silver, is a wonderful help in dealing with all types of pathogens since it does NOT work by elevating inflammatory cytokines so even if the body does not have the resources to raise a cytokine response, nano silver is exceptionally helpful in combating disease causing organisms.

Here is the letter my correspondent (name removed) sent to me:

Dear Dr. Rima,

“…there may be significant problems in using nano silver for swine flu. We were initially going to carry one of the finest silver products in our store, but I recently learned of new information that changed my mind.

“While silver will likely work to kill the swine flu virus, in many healthy individuals it is likely to elicit a severe cytokine storm reaction. This is basically a severe allergic inflammatory reaction that can occur in your lungs, and could be fatal….” [Emphasis added – REL]

I have healed my body of cancer without surgery chemo or radiation but I can not recommend this silver nor sell nor use it anymore without knowing about this allegation of the severe cytokine reaction that may lead to death. Please tell me what you know about this.

A cytokine storm, or hypercytokinemia is a potentially fatal immune reaction consisting of a positive feedback loop between cytokines and immune cells, with highly elevated levels of various cytokines.[Emphasis added – REL]

When the immune system is fighting pathogens, cytokines signal immune cells such as T-cells and macrophages to travel to the site of infection. In addition, cytokines activate those cells, stimulating them to produce more cytokines. Normally, this feedback loop is kept in check by the body. However, in some instances, the reaction becomes uncontrolled, and too many immune cells are activated in a single place. The precise reason for this is not entirely understood but may be caused by an exaggerated response when the immune system encounters a new and highly pathogenic invader. Cytokine storms have potential to do significant damage to body tissues and organs. If a cytokine storm occurs in the lungs, for example, fluids and immune cells such as macrophages may accumulate and eventually block off the airways, potentially resulting in death.

The cytokine storm (hypercytokinemia) is the systemic expression of a healthy and vigorous immune system resulting in the release of more than 150 known inflammatory mediators (cytokines, oxygen free radicals, and coagulation factors). Both pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as Tumor necrosis factor-alpha, Interleukin-1, and Interleukin-6) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (such as interleukin 10 and interleukin 1 receptor antagonist) are elevated in the serum of patients experiencing a cytokine storm.

It is believed that cytokine storms were responsible for many of the deaths during the 1918 influenza pandemic, which killed a disproportionate number of young adults.[1] In this case, a healthy immune system may have been a liability rather than an asset. Preliminary research results from Hong Kong also indicated this as the probable reason for many deaths during the SARS epidemic in 2003.[6] Human deaths from the bird flu H5N1 usually involve cytokine storms as well.[7]Recent reports of high mortality among healthy young adults in the 2009 swine flu outbreak has led to speculation that cytokine storms could be responsible for these deaths.[8] However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have indicated that symptoms reported from this strain so far are similar to those of normal seasonal flu,[9] with the CDC stating that there is “insufficient information to date about clinical complications of this variant of swine-origin influenza A (H1N1) virus infection”

I thought that was a totally fair, intelligent question.

The problem is that it is based on assumptions about the mechanism of action of silver that are incorrect. Here is my response to her:

Although nano-silver had a cytotoxic effect at high concentration, nano-silver modulated cytokine production in a concentration-dependent manner. These experimental data suggest that nano-silver could be used to treat immunologic and inflammatory diseases.”

Based on my study of the literature, I will continue to recommend nano silver for all infections, whether with bacteria, mycoplasma, parasites or viruses.

So, as you can see, there is no credible evidence that silver, nano or otherwise, will initiate a cytokine storm. The Natural Solutions Foundation strongly recommends the Nano Silver at www.Nutronix.com/NaturalSolutions without hesitation, although the FDA does not want me to tell you that it would kill the H1N1 virus. So I am not telling you that. If you have a flu and take the Nano Silver dose I use, 1-2 cap fulls once or twice a day, either in the mouth for 2 minutes, then swallowed or in a bit of water and consumed, you will do so on your own. Since nobody is going to diagnose Swine Flu accurately, my guess is that you need to take it when you get symptoms that might be flu. Who know? It might be Swine Flu. Or not. Who cares? Only Big Pharma.

MA Law 2080 Will Establish Medical Fascism

Mike Adams, a good friend and fellow freedom fighter, is now saying publicly what I have been saying for months: the US is set for mandatory vaccinations, despite their denial of any such intent. They will call them “voluntary” because you can take them or accept involuntary quarantine instead. Try telling that to the trooper or military person who is hauling you off to a prison or FEMA camp after you said you did not want a vaccine with 1 million times more squalene than the vaccines that felled so many healthy young men and women with Gulf War Syndrome after they were injected with Vaccine A by the military in a heinous experiment from which hundreds of thousands of young men and women have suffered and died. 1 million times more.

Make no mistake. The H1N1 “Pandemic” is only the first of many. The first of the blatant fascist States, given an excuse to become an anti Constitutional land of terror by the absurd and possibly non-existent H1N1 “pandemic” is Massachusetts. Once a cradle of liberty, today a bill awaiting passage by the MA House of Representatives could signal the rapid and final collapse of the Constitution of the United States.

Tyrannies always cloak their misdoings in high-minded words meant to delude and mislead the gullible. This time is no exception. Violating one Amendment after another, authorizing warantless search and seizure, incarceration without trial, punitive fines for protecting your body’s integrity, the list goes on and on. And it is, of course, all for the best purpose: for protecting you from the “deadly” “pandemic” H1N1 virus.

Except it is not deadly. It may not even exist, since I have yet to find a solid, unbiased scientific paper which documents that it actually exists, it certainly is not diagnosed with any accuracy by any available means (which would make good sense if it is a total hoax, a complete fraud) and the untested, unnecessary and unsafe vaccines which are being touted – at gunpoint, it would seem – to either prevent or treat it are far worse, according to UK and Australian doctors and nurses, than the supposedly lethal disease.

New York Nurses, too, state that they see no need for the jab in light of the nature of the disease (trivial) and the risks of the squalene-laced vaccine.

This bill conforms nicely to the State Emergency Medical Health Powers Act, of which nearly every state has already passed some version. As previously reported in these health freedom blogs, under these acts, warantless invasion and property seizure is permitted, mandatory forced vaccination or incarceration are permitted and the closure of all roads into or out of cities, towns and states are permitted. That is precisely what the MA law sets up.

Forced Vaccinations, quarantine camps, MA Senate reportedly passes “Pandemic Response Bill 2028”

NaturalNews) The United States of America is devolving into medical fascism and Massachusetts is leading the way with the passage of a new bill, the “Pandemic Response Bill” 2028, reportedly just passed by the MA state Senate and now awaiting approval in the House. This bill suspends virtually all Constitutional rights of Massachusetts citizens and forces anyone “suspected” of being infected to submit to interrogations, “decontaminations” and vaccines.

It’s also sets fines up to $1,000 per day for anyone who refuses to submit to quarantines, vaccinations, decontamination efforts or to follow any other verbal order by virtually any state-licensed law enforcement or medical personnel. Here’s some of the language contained in the bill:

(Violation of 4th Amendment: Illegal search and seizure)

During either type of declared emergency, a local public health authority… may exercise authority… to require the owner or occupier of premises to permit entry into and investigation of the premises; to close, direct, and compel the evacuation of, or to decontaminate or cause to be decontaminated any building or facility; to destroy any material; to restrict or prohibit assemblages of persons;

(Violation of 14th Amendment; illegal arrest without a warrant)

…an officer authorized to serve criminal process may arrest without a warrant any person whom the officer has probable cause to believe has violated an order given to effectuate the purposes of this subsection and shall use reasonable diligence to enforce such order. [Gunpoint]

(Government price controls)

The attorney general, in consultation with the office of consumer affairs and business regulation, and upon the declaration by the governor that a supply emergency exists, shall take appropriate action to ensure that no person shall sell a product or service that is at a price that unreasonably exceeds the price charged before the emergency.

“Involuntary Transportation” (also known as kidnapping)

Law enforcement authorities, upon order of the commissioner or his agent or at the request of a local public health authority pursuant to such order, shall assist emergency medical technicians or other appropriate medical personnel in the involuntary transportation of such person to the tuberculosis treatment center.

$1,000 / day in fines

Any person who knowingly violates an order, as to which noncompliance poses a serious danger to public health as determined by the commissioner or the local public health authority, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than 30 days or a fine of not more than one thousand dollars per day that the violation continues, or both.

Forced vaccinations

Furthermore, when the commissioner or a local public health authority within its jurisdiction determines that either or both of the following measures are necessary to prevent a serious danger to the public health the commissioner or local public health authority may exercise the following authority: (1) to vaccinate or provide precautionary prophylaxis to individuals as protection against communicable disease…

Forced quarantine for those who refuse (illegal imprisonment without charge)

An individual who is unable or unwilling to submit to vaccination or treatment shall not be required to submit to such procedures but may be isolated or quarantined pursuant to section 96 of chapter 111 if his or her refusal poses a serious danger to public health or results in uncertainty whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a disease or condition that poses a serious danger to public health, as determined by the commissioner, or a local public health authority operating within its jurisdiction.

Arrest for refusal to be “decontaminated”

If an individual is unable or unwilling to submit to decontamination or procedures necessary for diagnosis, the decontamination or diagnosis procedures may proceed only pursuant to an order of the superior court… During the time necessary to obtain such court order, such individual may be isolated or quarantined pursuant to section 96 of chapter 111 if his or her refusal to submit to decontamination or diagnosis procedures poses a serious danger to public health or results in uncertainty whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a disease or condition that poses a serious danger to public health.

Interrogation

When the commissioner or a local public health authority within its jurisdiction reasonably believes that a person may have been exposed to a disease or condition that poses a threat to the public health, in addition to their authority under section 96 of chapter 111, the commissioner or the local public health authority may detain the person for as long as may be reasonably necessary for the commissioner or the local public health authority, to convey information to the person regarding the disease or condition and to obtain contact information… If a person detained under subsection (1) refuses to provide the information requested, the person may be isolated or quarantined pursuant to section 96 of chapter 111 if his or her refusal poses a serious danger to public health…

Forced isolation and quarantine

An order for isolation or quarantine may include any individual who is unwilling or unable to undergo vaccination, precautionary prophylaxis, medical treatment, decontamination, medical examinations, tests, or specimen collection and whose refusal of one or more of these measures poses a serious danger to public health or results in uncertainty whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a disease or condition that poses a serious danger to public health.

Forced entry into any home or building…

There’s a lot more in this bill, including language that allows Mass. police to enter any home or building without a search warrant, to destroy any object or building they suspect may pose a threat to public safety, to order the closing and / or decontamination of any facility using highly toxic chemical decontamination agents, and to arrest, detain and interrogate anyone who gets in their way.

Meanwhile, all state law enforcement and medical personnel are granted complete immunity from prosecution for their part in violating your Constitutional rights. So if they violate your right to due process, or they accidentally destroy your home, or they kill your family dog because they suspect it might be infected, you have absolutely zero recourse.

Under this bill, Massachusetts becomes a medical police state. There is no debating it. It’s all written, clear as day, in this law: The citizens of Massachusetts will have no rights, period. The Constitution is ancient history. You are now the property of the State.

Kiss your freedoms goodbye Massachusetts, it seems, has never met a vaccine it didn’t like. This is the same state that rounded up the parents of schoolchildren who hadn’t been vaccinated, then corralled them into a courtroom (with attack dogs standing guard outside) and forced vaccine injections onto all the schoolchildren under the threat of jail time for parents who resisted.

Remember, readers, that this is all taking place in the “land of the free,” a nation that former President George Bush claimed was so envied around the world that terrorists attacked America because they “hate freedom” and wanted to destroy our way of life. But terrorists need no help attacking freedom as long as Massachusetts is in the vaccine game, because this latest form of “gunpoint medicine” destroys freedom for everyday Americans in a way that terrorists could have never hoped to accomplish with all the bombs in the world.

Massachusetts, it seems, has done what terrorists could not: It has turned “free” Americans into medical slave subjects who no longer have any freedom to decide the details of their own medical care. All options have been stripped from them but one: The Big Pharma option. That’s the one that involves using untested, unproven and potentially dangerous vaccines that could paralyze you or even kill you. All to defend you against a virus that’s so weak, almost anyone with decent levels of vitamin D and basic nutrition can resist the virus without incident.

But Massachusetts, as you’ll see below, is just the beginning. It turns out that the whole nation could soon find itself under a similar forced vaccination policy…

Isolation camps, forced vaccinations and more In 2006, former President George Bush signed into law the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP). It gives power to the Secretary of the U.S. government’s Health and Human Services department (HHS) to declare any infectious disease a “national emergency” and therefore require mandatory vaccination of the entire population. Because of the existence of this PREP Act, the entire population of the USA is now but one pen stroke away from being subjected to mandatory swine flu vaccinations at gunpoint.

Those who resist such vaccines will be arrested and taken away for “isolation” in domestic prison camps. They can’t just leave vaccine refusers free to live among the population, of course, because that would send the message that anyone can refuse the vaccines without consequence. So they’ll arrest those who refuse the vaccine, labeling them “a threat to national security” (enemies of the state) and imprison them without trial, without charges and without any legal representation whatsoever.

Meanwhile, all those who take part in enforcing these crimes against the American people will be granted complete immunity. From the HHS website: “[the Secretary may] issue a declaration… that provides immunity from tort liability (except for willful misconduct) for claims of loss caused, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from administration or use of (vaccine or other pharmaceutical) countermeasures to diseases, threats and conditions determined by the Secretary to constitute a present, or credible risk of a future public health emergency…”

There are other laws already on the books that strip Americans of virtually all Constitutional rights in a “pandemic emergency” scenario. One such act is The Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act (S. 3678), which probably merits another article altogether.

Have no illusions: At the stroke of a pen, the Constitutional rights of all Americans will be immediately suspended. Mandatory vaccinations and “decontaminations” will kick in and the mass arrest of resisters will begin. There will be no court, no trial, no jury and no due process. Your actions will be dictated to you by a law enforcement officer or a health care worker who has been granted complete immunity, so if you just happen to get kicked around a bit (or shot), there’s really nothing you can do about it.

Some might argue these are necessary actions to save a nation from a deadly pandemic. And yet they forget that the pandemic has been intentionally allowed to worsen by censoring information about vitamin D and natural remedies that could stop it. Somebody at the top, in other words, wants this pandemic to get really bad, perhaps because it allows them to invoke precisely the draconian response I’ve outlined in this article. Seizing power in a Democracy cannot be accomplished by simply declaring war on the rights of the People. Rather, a situation must be engineered where the People are so desperate that they beg to be controlled. Releasing a pandemic into the wild is the perfect way to accomplish precisely that.

Timing
None of these laws will be invoked before the vaccines are ready in large numbers, of course. Part of the purpose in all this is to prop up Big Pharma profits with massive vaccination efforts, so until the vaccines are actually available, don’t expect to see any declarations of a public emergency.

It might take until October or November before the vaccines are readily available in sufficient quantity to inject just half the U.S. population. But once that milestone is reached, a declaration of a pandemic emergency is imminent. Trust me on this point: They won’t let all those hundreds of millions of vaccines sit around unused; they’ll make sure they get injected into the People as soon as possible, because that’s the only way to justify making more.

So the sequence of events we’re likely to see here are:

#1) Waiting on vaccine manufacturing to procure at least 150 million doses in the U.S. Probable time frame = October.

#2) Hyping up a few local swine flu breakouts in schools in order to justify step #3. Probable time frame = November / December.

#3) Declaring a full-blown national emergency and announcing mandatory vaccinations for everyone (to use up the vaccines that are now available). Probable time frame = January / February / March.

#4) If the disease continues to spread, this is when you’ll see forced entry into homes and buildings, forced “decontamination” sprayings, widespread arrests and forced quarantine of resisters, Martial Law and a complete crackdown on freedoms (especially in the inner cities). This will likely continue through the winter until Spring arrives, bringing the sunshine that will suppress the virus around the May 2010 time frame.

All this is written in black ink. It’s already part of the pandemic response plan. Body bags, FEMA camps and much more.

Two years ago, this was all the domain of conspiracy theory “wingnuts.” Now it’s State law. Now it’s being openly discussed in security conferences and health care meetings. What will we do when the hospital beds are full? How will we accomplish the “involuntary transportation” of those who are infected? Are there enough zip-tie handcuffs to go around? How do we disarm and arrest citizens who refuse to be vaccinated? How do we prevent National Guard troops from becoming infected themselves?

These are the questions circulating now at high levels, all across the world. And the answers are always the same: Abandon freedoms. Strip the People of any rights. Dictate from the top down and arrest anyone who gets in your way.

Welcome to the Land of the Free. I hope you are prepared for what looks to be coming, because this isn’t America anymore, folks. This is Amerika, and the Constitutional rights you thought you had are about to be written right off the books.

In 3 weeks, the Senate has a chance to vote on this atrocity, which completes the industrialization of America’s food, from sea to contaminated sea.

Twisting the House of Representative’s Rules to prevent meaningful debate, the governing party adopted the martial law (sic) “food safety” bill, HS 2749.

Submit an email for each member of your family or household and then share it with everyone you know. This link is a little different than the other one you just completed, however.

The previous one opposed a law. This one demands a law: a law that says that you have the right, which you do not have now, to refuse a pandemic vaccine without risking incarceration or involuntary quarantine.

Right now, that is the case: both the state and federal law makers have set things up so that if you are offered a vaccine in a declared pandemic emergency such as the one we are in right now [Swine Flu], refusing that vaccine is your right, but the consequences will be either quarantine or incarceration, which are really the same thing. We want to protect your right to Self-Shield instead of accepting the jab.

Further, the CDC will have, under a law pending before Congress, the right to send teams to your door with the authority to vaccinate you and everyone else in the household whether you want to be vaccinated or not.

Forget about the fact that vaccines are, in my opinion, without scientific or medical merit. Even if you agree with vaccination for yourself and your children, I doubt very much that you agree with forced vaccination. You probably believe, as I do, that vaccination, like any other medical procedure, should be voluntary, must be voluntary, may not be compulsory for any reason. That has been the law in civilized nations since the defeat of the Nazis.

Yet your State and Federal Governments see things differently. Based on an outdated, hundred year-old case (Jacobson v Massachusetts) they erroneously believe they have authority to do with us whatever they want, so long as they concoct an “emergency.”

So I urge you to send another email to those same people saying something like,

“Please go to the link below and submit an email for each member of your family or household on a matter or great seriousness: forced vaccination with a vaccine for a disease which has failed to produce a pandemic, but which is being used as a way to make huge amounts of money for vaccine makers (who have been relieved of all liability for any harm their vaccine does!) and very possibly to introduce serious or even deadly, but highly profitable) diseases into an unsuspecting populace.”

These vaccines will be approved before any safety testing has been completed and will be used first, without any safety data, on pregnant women, children, those with chronic illness and on first responders.

No responsible government would engage in such reckless, uninsurable vaccination unless they did not care about the consequences.

Please take a moment to submit these emails demanding the right to remain at home in the event of a pandemic instead of accepting either vaccination or quarantine and then forward this email to everyone you know.

PS – Our Counsel Ralph Fucetola JD just read through the 134 page Food Fascism bill which the House just passed and found these exemptions (and one interesting paragraph about HARMonization!)

Thus, this horrific bill has one slightly bright spot and you helped to put it there. The farm to consumer exemption listed below was added because our more than 630,000 emails demanding protection for small farmers tied the bill up in committee. To get it out to the House floor for a vote, the Section 107 exemptions had to be added. It is not what we want, but some protection, after all.

So thank you for that. Now, let’s pour on the steam and get what we really want: the defeat of this bill in the Senate.

Vaccine Files: Corrupt Journal Articles Help Determine Court Outcomes

Barbara Loe Fisher is a tireless advocate of both vaccine truth and choice and the Natural Solutions Foundation nominates her for our Hall of Fame. Barbara continues to examine carefully the vaccine industry, its products and its corruption. Her site, www.NVIC.org, is a mine of information and assistance on vaccine and vaccination issues. Barbara’s latest commentary on the corrupt – and corrupting – vaccine industry is a very important read.
In it she points out that vaccine safety and effectiveness have not been demonstrated by the studies published about them even in prestige journals. Those studies are of poor quality and show little that can be relied upon scientifically, but are, none the less, used as the evidence relied upon by vaccine courts to determine whether vaccines have harmed or killed anyone.

The Natural Solutions Foundation has filed a Citizens Petition with the Federal Trade Commission demanding hearings on whether vaccines are safe and/or effective and asking for a ban on any advertising or materials which suggest that they are either safe, effective or both until that fact is established.

Vaccine Studies: Under the Influence of Pharma

If you take more than a casual look at the way the mass vaccination system in the U.S. works, you see that pharmaceutical companies marketing vaccines have a lot of clout.
It was the pharmaceutical industry that told Congress in 1982 that they were going to leave the nation without vaccines if they didn’t get liability protection but have opposed making it less difficult for vaccine victims to obtain federal compensation in the U.S. Court of Claims under a 1986 law that gave them liability protection.
It is Pharma lobbyists, who bully the FDA into fast tracking vaccines like Gardasil and who sit at the CDC’s policymaking tables urging that new vaccines be recommended for use by all children so they can persuade state legislators to mandate vaccines like influenza vaccine.

How Big Pharma Influences Medical Journals
A recent study published in the British Medical Journal reveals the clout that Big Pharma has in the world of medicine journal publishing, specifically the publishing of scientific articles about vaccines. In a Cochrane Collaboration review and analysis of published influenza vaccine studies found that influenza vaccine studies sponsored by industry are treated more favorably by medical journals even when the studies are of poor quality.
This analysis confirms that drug companies marketing vaccines have a major influence on what gets published and is said about vaccines in medical journals. It is no wonder that there are almost no studies published in the medical literature that call into question vaccine safety.
The preferential treatment of Pharma-funded studies also explains why the risks of an inappropriately fast-tracked vaccine like Gardasil are underplayed in the medical literature and why a physician like Andrew Wakefield, M.D. who dared to publish a study in 1998 in a medical journal (The Lancet) calling for more scientific investigation into the possible link between MMR vaccine and regressive autism, has been mercilessly persecuted for more than a decade, by both Pharma-funded special interest groups, as well as public health officials maintaining close relationships with vaccine manufacturers.

Study Finds No Correlation Between Quality of Study and Publication
This recent review identified and assessed 274 published studies on influenza vaccines for their methodological quality and found no relationship between study quality, publication in prestige journals or their subsequent citation in other articles.
The researchers also found that most influenza vaccine studies are of poor quality but those with conclusions favorable to influenza vaccinations are of significantly lower methodological quality. The single most important factor determining where the studies were published or how much they were cited was sponsorship, with those partially or wholly funded by the pharmaceutical industry having higher visibility.
The authors commented: “The study shows that one of the levers for accessing prestige journals is the financial size of your sponsor. Pharma sponsors order many reprints of studies supporting their products, often with in house translations into many languages. They also purchase advertising space in the journal. Many publishers openly advertise these services on their website. It is time journals made a full disclosure of their sources of funding”.

The HPV Vaccine — Just One Example of Inappropriate Influence Endangering Public Health
Last month the National Vaccine Information Center (www.NVIC.org) called on the Obama Administration and Congress to investigate Gardasil vaccine risks. NVIC has long questioned the inappropriate influence of vaccine manufacturers in federal vaccine licensing and policymaking and state vaccine mandates.
In 2006, Merck’s Gardasil vaccine was fast tracked by the FDA at Merck’s request and in 2007 Merck lobbyists mounted an aggressive lobbying campaign to get Gardasil mandated by state legislators for all sixth grade girls, which would have assured the big drug company a predictable market.
The Pharma lobbying effort in 2007 to get all states to mandate Gardasil failed but every other vaccine produced by drug companies and licensed by the FDA in the past quarter century has been mandated. Those new mandates were added to state vaccine laws by legislators and public health officials at the urging of vaccine manufacturer lobbyists and Pharma funded organizations touting vaccine studies published in the medical literature.

Massive Increase in Number of Vaccines Given
In the past three decades, the numbers of doses of government recommended vaccines for children and medical organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics has tripled to 69 doses of 16 vaccines, with 48 doses of 14 vaccines targeted to children under age six.
Pharma lobbyists have persuaded most states to pass laws requiring two to three dozen doses of most of the 16 government recommended vaccines. Last year New Jersey became the first state to mandate influenza vaccine for children attending daycare and school.
In the past few years, Dr. Jefferson has authored several independent reviews of influenza studies published in the medical literature for the Cochrane Collaboration, which have been published in the British Medical Journal, questioning the quality of published scientific evidence for influenza vaccine effectiveness and safety for the elderly as well as children.
Clearly, if the makers and marketers of vaccines can influence the quality and quantity of the scientific evidence published in the medical literature proving that vaccines are safe and effective — evidence that is used by states to mandate vaccines and by the U.S. Court of Claims to deny compensation to vaccine injured children — then Congress was wrong in 1986 to protect the makers and marketers of vaccines from liability for injuries and deaths caused by those vaccines.

Government Vaccine Recommendations Based on Tainted Evidence
The U.S. Court of Claims vaccine injury compensation awards, and state vaccine mandates are justified on the strength of scientific published in medical journals. It is time for medical journals to disclose all financial ties to the pharmaceutical industry. It is time for studies questioning the safety and effectiveness of vaccines to receive a fair hearing in scientific journals rather than editors confining themselves to primarily publishing studies funded by the pharmaceutical industry maintaining that every vaccine is totally safe, effective and necessary.
Kudos to the British Medical Journal for having the integrity to publish Dr. Jefferson’s comprehensive analysis of pharmaceutical money influence on vaccine studies published in the medical literature. Hopefully, this will be a wake-up call for the scientific community, Congress and the public to put an end to the undue influence the pharmaceutical industry has on the science and policy of mass vaccination in the U.S.

You Want to do WHAT to My Baby? Are You Mad? Vaccination and Health

The following article makes the point quite clearly that vaccinations are neither safe nor effective. When challenged to provide substantiation for your position on vaccines, you might find this short and effective piece useful.
The reason that the Natural Solutions Foundation entered a Citizens Petition (which is a legal challenge to the Government’s position) with the Federal Trade Commission calling for a ban on all material and advertising across State Lines which claims or implies that vaccines are safe, effective, or have been scientifically demonstrated to be so is because none of these conditions is true: they are NOT safe, NOT effective and NOT effective. Further, they have been shown to damage and degrade immune functions.
Infant vaccination is even more dangerous than vaccinations in older kids and multiple vaccinations are insanely dangerous. If you want to kill people or damage them permanently while making a fantastic profit, vaccination is the perfect vehicle. Now, just why does someone want to vaccinate that baby?

Why Would Anybody Have Their New-Born Baby or Child Vaccinated?

You hear this from your doctor from the media, from the brochures in the clinic, from your friends. But, did you ever stop to think twice about what it all means?

Did you ever look deeper into the issue and the other side of the story?

Your child is just born and one of the first things you do is call the clinic to schedule an appointment for your first “well-baby” visit. During the visit, after about 1 or 2 months, you can expect your baby to be weighed, measured, and put through excruciating pain from several shots in the leg. Your baby has just received his first immunization (or vaccination) shots and you allow it to happen without even questioning. It is just assumed that your pediatrician has your best interests in mind and that immunizations are the best thing to protect your child from a variety of diseases. You hear this from your doctor, from the media, from the brochures in the clinic, from your friends. You figure that the pain your baby has just gone through is worth the protection that he receives.

But, did you ever stop to think twice about what it all means? Did you ever look deeper into the issue and read the other side of the story? (The one that is not provided by your doctor). Did you know, for example, that immunizations may cause serious side effects in children, even as serious as death? Did you know that immunizations actually weaken the immune system and make it work less effectively and efficiently? Were you aware that immunizations contain harmful chemicals that are not indigenous to the body? Did you know that your child might still contract a disease even if he or she has been immunized against?

If you have a new baby, a young child or are considering having children in the future, these are concerns that you want to investigate and learn more about. Many parents have, and they have decided NOT to immunise their children. Let us look into this matter more closely and also consider it form an Islamic perspective. The health and well being of your child may be at stake.

Myths and Realities

Myth 1. “Vaccines are effective at protecting people from diseases”

Reality: Many studies in the medical literature have documented vaccine failure. Measles, mumps, small pox, polio and Hib outbreaks have all occurred in vaccinated populations. In 1989, for example measles outbreaks occurred in schools with vaccination levels greater than 98% (Centres for Disease Control). The World Health Organization has actually found that a person who is vaccinated for measles has a 15 times greater likelihood of contracting the disease than a person who is not. The effectiveness of the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine has been reported to be around 50%. In an incident in Kansas in 1986, 90% of pertussis cases were found to have been vaccinated. In another study of rubella, 36% of adolescent females who had been vaccinated against the disease lacked evidence of immunity by blood tests. Following the introduction of the diphtheria vaccine in various countries, incidents of the disease actually increased phenomenally. In France, there was a 30% increase; in Hungary, a 55% increase; and in Geneva, Switzerland, there was a tripling of the disease. All of this occurring after the introduction of mass compulsory vaccinations in those countries. In Australia, where vaccinations are not mandatory and only about ½ of the population receives them, the rates of illness are the same for both the vaccinated and non-vaccinated groups.

What all of these facts point to (and there are many more related to this) is that vaccinations are not as effective as people are made to believe. A person who has been vaccinated has no guarantee that he will not contract the disease and chances are that if he does, it will be at a later age when the consequences are much more serious. The truth of the matter is that when immunity to disease is acquired naturally (such as through breastfeeding or through contact at a young age), the possibility of re-infection is only 3.2%. If the “immunity” comes from the artificial means of vaccinations, the chance of re-infection is 80%. In any epidemic, only a small percentage of the population actually contracts the disease, many of them being naturally immune. If a person who has been vaccinated does not contract the disease, this proves nothing. Chances are that even without the vaccination, he or she would not have gotten the disease any way.

Myth 2: “Vaccines are the main reason for declines in disease rates”

Reality: Most declines in diseases occurred before the introduction of mass immunizations. Infectious disease deaths in the United States and England declined an average of 80% prior to vaccinations. The British Association for the Advancement of Science found that childhood diseases decreased by 90% between 1850 and 1940, long before mandatory vaccination programs. European countries that refused immunizations for small pox and polio saw these epidemics end along with countries that had mandated them. Other infectious diseases continued to decline even in the absence of vaccines for them. This included declines in tuberculosis, chicken pox, scarlet fever, typhus, typhoid and plague.

So what, you may ask, were the reasons for the decrease in diseases at this point in time. Research has found that improved sanitation and hygienic practices; along with improvements in diet and other health factors were the main contributing factors in eradication many diseases. A recent report by the World Health Organization supported this fact. The report found that “disease and mortality rates in third world countries have no direct correlation with immunization procedures or medical treatment, but are closely related to the standard of diet and hygiene.” What this means is that it is not as important to be immunized as it is to eat healthily and maintain personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness.

Myth 3: “Vaccines are completely safe for children.”

Reality: Vaccines are much more dangerous than we are even aware of. This is information that you will probably not receive from your doctor and if you child does have a reaction, it is unlikely that your doctor will report it. In 1986, the United States Congress created The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which acknowledges the reality of vaccine-caused injuries and death. This law requires doctors to provide parents with information about the benefits and risks of childhood vaccines prior to vaccination and also requires doctors to report vaccine reactions to federal health officials. The Food and Drug Administration, which monitors this (along with the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention), acknowledged that 90% of doctors do not report vaccine reactions as required by law.

More than 12,000 adverse reactions to vaccines are reported each year. If the rate of under-reporting is considered, this number should be closer to 120,000. Vaccine-related deaths occurring each year may be over 1000. The compensation portion of the Vaccine Injury Act awards up to $250,000 if a child dies from a vaccination or millions in dollars to cover lifelong medical bills, pain and suffering in the case of a brain-damaged child. By 1997, more than $802 million had been awarded for hundreds of injuries and deaths (5000 cases, 700 of which were deaths). Thousands of cases are still pending and the estimated future liability for the government exceeds $1.7 billion. A portion of the money that parents pay for vaccinations goes to this congressional fund, which basically means that you are paying insurance each time your child is vaccinated.

In many cases, vaccinations are more serious than the diseases they are meant to protect a person from. The pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine is probably the most dangerous. The chances of suffering a serious adverse reaction to DPT vaccines are 1 in 1750, while the chances of dying from pertussis each year are 1 in several million. A study at UCLA found that 1 in 13 children had persistent high pitched crying after the DPT shot. One in 700 had convulsions or shock, which may cause learning disabilities or brain damage. Vaccinations, in general, have been linked to disorders of the blood, brain, skin, and nervous system. This includes encephalitis (central nervous system disorder, brain damage), paralysis, nerve inflammation, diseases of the lymph glands, skin disorders, allergies, arthritis, cancer.

National and International studies have shown a link between vaccinations and SIDS (sudden Infant Death Syndrome). One study found that the peak incidence of SIDS occurred at the ages of 2 and 4 months, the time when the first routine vaccinations are given. Another study concluded that ½ of SIDS cases (2500 of 5000) are related to vaccinations. In the mid-70’s, when Japan raised their vaccinations age from 2 months to 2 years, the incidence of SIDS dropped dramatically. The disturbing fact in the United State is that coroners refuse to check the vaccination state of SIDS victims, which makes it difficult to prove many cases.

Other important truths to consider include the fact that vaccinations actually weaken the immune system rather than strengthen it. They only focus on one aspect of the immune system, which interferes with the body’s ability to initiate a “generalized response”. Only that one particular aspect of the system will function. What this means is that the vaccinations produce immune suppression which contributes to an increased susceptibility to other diseases and infections. This may explain why the rate of childhood illness has actually increased rather than decreased in this society. Vaccinations also contain additional chemicals such as formaldehyde, mercury (thimerosal), and aluminum phosphate, which are extremely toxic substances that can lead to hazardous effects. Microscopic doses may lead to cancer, neurological damage, and even death. Several of these may accumulate in the body such that the lethality increases as the number of vaccine increase.
