Back to the Future: Swine Flu Tragedy 1976 Redux
One allegedly healthy person has allegedly died from the alleged “Swine Flu” in the UK.
The first doses of the “Swine Flu” Vaccine are due in the UK in the next few weeks.
Approval could come within an astonishing five days. You read that right: five days. But not to worry, of course. Safety is assured because “Mock Up” trials have been done.
This whole thing, starting with one patient dead from “Swine Flu” (Maybe!, Certainly dead, but dead from Swine Flu? Maybe.) and that triggering a mass vaccination program is precisely what happened in the US in 1976. The program was halted after people started dropping like paralyzed flies from something called “Guillian-Barre Syndrome” immediately after vaccination. They became paralyzed, lost the ability to breath on their own, and many died. In fact, Guillian-Barre Syndrome is a newly concocted name for a much more familiar condition: Polio. In this case, very clearly vaccine induced.
Lest anyone take comfort from the notion that Guillian-Barre Syndrome was caused by a unique vaccine, poorly produced in 1976, consider the following:
In a press release dated October 9, 2006, “Guillain-Barre Syndrome After Vaccination in United States” a study using the US Government’s own Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System Data (VAERS) showed that Gullian-Barre Syndrome (aka Polio) is alive and well in the vaccinated population:
“Of the 54 cases studied, Guillain-Barre syndrome was observed in 57% of the patients who had received an influenza vaccine, followed by 22% of the patients who had received a hepatitis vaccine either as a single vaccine or in combination with other vaccines. In the same study group, 11% of the patients with GBS had received the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine in combination with other vaccines, with the remaining study cases having received haemophilis B conjugate vaccine, tetanus and diphtheria toxoid, or typhoid vaccine. But be comforted, UK citizens:
“Regulators at the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) said the fast-tracked procedure has involved clinical trials of a “mock-up” vaccine similar to the one that will be used for the biggest mass vaccination programme in generations. It will be introduced into the general population while regulators continue to carry out simultaneous clinical trials.
“The first patients in the queue for the jab – being supplied to the UK by GSK and Baxter Healthcare – may understandably be a little nervous at any possible side effects. A mass vaccination campaign against swine flu in America was halted in the 1970s after some people suffered Guillain-Barré syndrome, a disorder of the nervous system.
“However, regulators said fast-tracking would not be at the expense of patient safety. “The vaccines are authorized with a detailed risk management plan,” the EMEA said. “There is quite a body of evidence regarding safety on the trials of the mock-up, and the actual vaccine could be assessed in five days.”
Five days seems like quite enough time to assess the safety of a vaccine given to all of our children, elders and chronically ill folks, doesn’t it? Oh, it dosen’t… what? Don’t you trust your government?
If you live in the US, you may be saying to yourself, “Well, that is what regulators are doing over there in the poorly run and poorly regulated UK (and France, and Austria and Sweden), but here in the US we have the best medicine, the best food, the best health care system and the best regulators in the US. That’s just what the drug companies and the FDA always tell us.” Sorry, my friend. You need your meds adjusted.
Here are the facts about Baxter Pharmaceuticals. This is the company that has been formally charged with Crimes Against Humanity for its contamination of the Seasonal Flu Vaccine. [The vaccine itself is a bio weapon in my opinion, but let that go for the moment.] That vaccine was “accidentally” contaminated with a genetically engineered, highly pathogenic (disease-causing) viral material provided to it by WHO (that is, 72 kilos or 158.4 lbs, Avian Flu). And Baxter just happened to have had contracts to sell a great deal of Avian Flu vaccine to those countries in the event that the Avian Flu epidemic occurred! This same drug company is about to deliver the first commercial lots of its “Swine Flu” vaccine, produced in “record” time, cultured on green monkey kidney cells (the same cell line that we now know contained leukemia viruses and contaminated the Polio vaccine for so long?) to the US later this month. In fact, Baxter was given the lead in developing the vaccine for this non-disease. How convenient for them that they filed the patent for this vaccine and the process that they are using to make it in 2007! Perhaps they have psychics working for them who advise in patent and corporate decisions – or perhaps their information source was a bit more conventional and a lot more sinister. A new form of self-fulfilling prophecy, hey?
We also know that HHS Secretary Karen Sibelius (“Let the children die first” Karen, as we’ve come to call her) has the same priorities for who gets what our research tells us will be a deadly “Swine Flu” vaccine – children, the elderly, the chronically ill. She added, not particularly comfortingly, that we would wait and see if there were too many adverse events following the mass vaccinations for a disease that lacks the forensic substantiation — the same lack as the 1976 Swine Flu “epidemic” — that it has actually killed anyone. Let me remind you that even if the laboratory identification is correct (and I hold the CDC’s “findings” to be extraordinarily suspect), dying WITH a virus is not the same thing at all as dying FROM a virus… or dying after the vaccine jab.
So the “healthy man without any underlying disease” who just died in the UK and is the excuse for mass vaccination! (WHAT????) This is as absurd as the mass vaccination ordered by then-President Gerald Ford after one supposedly healthy soldier died at Fort Dix. Of course, this healthy soldier got up out of a sick bed to go on a forced march during which he collapsed. The sergeant who revived him with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation did not contract the disease. What did the soldier die from? No one knows, but a lot of other people died and suffered life long disability in the rush to vaccinate, halted 10 short weeks later.
60 Minutes ran a report on this disaster 4 years later, claiming that more than 4000 people were afflicted with Guillian-Barre Syndrome. The show aired once and was immediately pulled.
And then recall that you are slated for vaccination against a disease which poses no credible threat whatsoever, precisely as the American population was in 1976.
But this time, there is a new wrinkle: federal and State Legislation which makes it perfectly fine to refuse the vaccination offered in a declared Pandemic Emergency – and perfectly fine for the State or Federal Government to isolate or quarantine you — incarcerate you — indefinitely once you do.
Tell President Obama, Secretary Sebelius, the Governor of your State and every one of your legislators (Federal and state) that you demand, yes, demand, the right to retire to your home and Self-Shield in the event of a Pandemic vaccination. Unless, of course, either the jab or the jail is OK with you.
Not OK with you? I sort of thought it wouldn’t be. Now, get busy and motivate everyone you can reach to do the same. The action item includes a link to the draft Protecting Americans’ Self-Shielding bill, asking your representatives to co-sponsor it.

“Everyone will get Vaccine for Swine Flu
The NHS is preparing to vaccinate the entire population against swine flu after the disease claimed the life of its first healthy British patient.
A new vaccine is expected to arrive in Britain in the next few weeks and could be fast-tracked through regulatory approval in five days.
As many as 20m people could be inoculated this year. Ministers have secured up to 90m doses, and the rest of the population is likely to be offered vaccinations next year.
A man from Essex was confirmed on Friday as the first person without underlying health problems to have died from the virus. The health department said most people with the virus had only mild symptoms.

Peter Holden, the British Medical Association’s lead negotiator on swine flu, said GPs’ surgeries were ready for one of the biggest vaccination campaigns in almost 50 years.
“If this virus does [mutate], it can get a lot more nasty, and the idea is to give people immunity. But the sheer logistics of dealing with 60m people can’t be underestimated,” he said.
The health department said a vaccination programme would be drawn up based on expert advice.

The UK government has ordered enough vaccine to cover the entire population. GPs are being told to prepare for a nationwide vaccination campaign.
Dr Peter Holden, the British Medical Association’s lead negotiator on swine flu, who has been attending Department of Health meetings on the outbreak, said GPs’ surgeries were prepared for one of the biggest vaccination campaigns in almost 50 years.

Second, it would reduce the effect on the economy by ensuring workers were protected from the virus.
“The high-risk groups will be done at GPs’ surgeries. People are still making decisions over this, but we want to get cracking before we get a second wave, which is traditionally far more virulent.”
Holden said it was likely the elderly would be given their seasonal flu jab as well as the swine flu vaccination. The new vaccine is likely to require two doses.
Details of the inoculation plans emerged after the death of a patient, reportedly a middle-aged man, at a hospital in the Basildon area of Essex. The victim had no underlying health problems, but officials say there is no evidence the swine flu virus had mutated into a more dangerous strain.
Holden said it would be the biggest campaign in response to an outbreak since mass vaccination against smallpox in 1962. He said surgeries would be aiming to inoculate about 30 people an hour in a “military-style operation”.
The Department of Health said it had still not finalised which groups would be vaccinated first, but children, frontline health workers, people with underlying illnesses and the elderly are likely to take priority.
The European Commission is also identifying population groups which it believes should get priority. It is keen to ensure that countries such as the UK, which had ordered supplies of the vaccine in advance, do not cause inequities in treatment elsewhere in Europe.
It warned health ministers in a note circulated last month that if the vaccines were more readily available in some countries it could cause “vaccine tourism/shopping in other member states”.
About 15 people have died of swine flu in Britain, but most of those infected get only mild symptoms. According to the latest figures from the Health Protection Agency, the UK has had 9,718 confirmed cases of the disease.”

HPV Vaccines Plan a Colossal Clinical Trial: No Surprise There. Now Let’s Include Infants and See What Happens!
The general belief in the US and elsewhere is that once a drug or vaccine is approved for general use, its “safety and efficacy” have been established beyond a reasonable doubt and that any special concerns are covered in the inserts which accompany the alleged medicine.
That appears to be a reasonable conclusion, but, alas, is an tragically incorrect one.
The truth of them matter is that, AT BEST, once a drug or vaccine hits the market (that is, can be used on YOU without informed consent or other special procedures), you are in Clinical Trial Phase IV – the one where, after a while, if there are TOO MANY deaths, seizures, or other short term adverse events, the product might, just might, be considered for removal from the market place. Or not.
Now when we are dealing with vaccines, the situation is much, much worse. First of all, the lap dog Fraud and Death Administration (FDA), followed quickly by the US Congress, has removed all financial liability from vaccine manufacturers, no matter what happens to vaccine recipients, as long as there is no evidence of willful intent to do harm. Vaccines are an uninsurable risk… even AIG won’t insure the drug companies against vaccine harm. Instead Congress set up a special tax that each buyer of a vaccine dose pays, and that fund in effect, guarantees the profitability of vaccines for the drug companies.
So long as there is no willful intent to do harm…
Um, excuse me. Injecting “adjuvants” and “preservatives” like lipids, modified lipids, aluminum hydroxide sulfide, mercury, aspartame, MSG, formaldehyde, foreign protein, leukemia viruses and a host of other compounds conclusively shown to be devastating to the animals that receive them in the lab, coupled with the fact that no vaccine on the planet has been shown to be effective, safe or, heaven help us, both safe AND effective, while propagandizing and lobbying for as wide-spread penetration as possible, is not willful intent to do harm?
I must be fairly simple minded, I suppose, not to understand that overloading the immature immune systems of newborns with toxins – and changing the prohibitions against injecting pregnant moms with toxic brews like Flu vaccine, Rhogram and a host of others to allow, indeed, endorse and recommend – in the absence of any scientific justification to do so – is not willful intent to do harm.
I guess there is something wrong with the way I process information when mercury-bearing pediatric vaccines are permitted to be used until the [valuable, expensive] stocks run out but vaccine manufacturers are permitted to claim that their products are “Thimerisol Free” because a small number of mercury reduced, NOT mercury free, vials of this vile stuff is being produced, to gradually replace the pediatric stock, in several years. Since the “new and improved” shots contain only a “trace” of mercury, the ingredient does not have to be revealed… even though that 1 to 3 mcg “trace” is enough to cause harm!
I failed to learn to think in medical totalitarianistic ways so I just do not understand how approving a vaccine for US and European children like Rotovac for rotovirus diarrhea, a disease from which US and European children do not die, makes any sense at all, other than from a corporate perspective – money-wise, that is. Or, consider HPb, the vaccine designed to “prevent” hepatitis B, a disease spread by intimate contact with contaminated blood or semen, or Gardasil, designed to “prevent” a disease which may or may not be related to the Human Papilloma Virus and is definitely related to sexual activity, for girls 9-26, and now FOR INFANTS and which is not proven to be effective in preventing cervical cancer, which is easily detected and cured early through non-chemotherapy means, is actually increased by the use of the vaccine and whose vaccine-induced antibodies have never been proven to be related to cancer prevention!
To make matters even more interesting, there is no evidence, that’s right, NONE, that the antibodies which are, in fact, produced, in response to the immune-degrading and immune-distorting HPV vaccines and their deadly ajuvants last more than 5 years.
So we give girls and women a shot, then a second shot, then a third shot, then a booster shot (that is 4+++ doses of the toxins in the vaccines, of course) and then, THEN, we get to see, according to the very important document below, IF the vaccine produces any adverse events of significance (for example, death, or the brand new disorder called “Juvenile ALS”, which has only been seen in girls who have received the Gradasil and Cervavax HPV vaccines, by the way) and IF the vaccines provide “protection” against cervical cancer and genital warts… in the next 40 years or so… conveniently well after all the authors of this atrocity are long into their well-paid retirement.
While we are waiting, of course, we can fill our time reading studies like the ones which show that Gardasil increases cervical cancer in women and girls who are already sexually active by 44.7% and the FDA documents dated from before the approval of Gardasil, that showed that there was no expectation that this evil brew would reduce cervical cancer because, despite the tobacco science (shall we change the name to “Pharma “science” ?) bought and paid for by Merck, the HPV strains covered by this vaccine have not been implicated in cervical cancer!!!!!
Now, for the two “best” pieces of HPV vaccine news: as the article below will show you, the idea is to include huge numbers of additional girls and infants, yes, infants, most of whom are not very sexually active, but, hey! a profit is a profit, take it where it falls!, in a gigantic clinical study to make lots of money for a few people while we continue to see the use of our children, and ourselves, as guinea pigs in experiments which are already failed the day they are put to paper, long before our bodies are damaged by the toxic drug and vaccine brews.
And now, for something completely different, the next market segment for marketing this vaccine is the other half of the sexually active crowd: baby boys, boy children and men. To help them protect an organ they do not have. To help them line the deep, deep, dirty pockets of the pharmaceutical industry. Your choice? Say “NO!” to those vaccines… click here:
Take this opportunity to resist because you have that right. But for the vaccines that you do not have the right to resist, the Pandemic vaccines, you must take action quickly. Support our best Health Freedom friend in Congress so that he can introduce a Self-Shielding bill immediately to give you the right to turn down either taking a Swine Flu vaccine (and do not think that there will not be more of these Pandemic Vaccines – new viruses are “emerging” all the time and the market is rich and ripe: new viruses, new vaccines, new pandemics, new population reductions – mmmm! Just what Dr. Mengele ordered!

Girls used as Guinea Pigs in HPV Trials Admits GSK

We have always suspected it and now they admit it, GSK are using young girls (as young as 9 in some areas) as human Guinea Pigs in HPV vaccine Cervarix trials. This was only discovered after reading a document that was meant for ‘Scientific Background and Informational Purposes only’?
Cervarix GlaxoSmithKline’s Cervical Cancer Candidate Vaccine Mandate. Media Backgrounder makes very disturbing reading as it states exactly what trials are to be carried out, with one particular very interesting line?
“Phase III Trials Phase III studies are underway in 37 countries with more than 39,000 subjects planned.”
So this appears to prove that all our children are part of one big experiment to enable the drug companies to line their pockets whilst they sit back and watch what happens to our children.
Whilst trawling the Internet a fellow member of ICAP also came up with this gem of a document which also appears to prove that our children are part of trials.
The document is the Presentation of advisory report Vaccination against cervical cancer from the health Council of the Netherlands to the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport
This is an official political document. It is called ‘Vaccination against Cervical Cancer’ and it was accompanied with a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport in the Netherlands, from the Health Council. Interestingly the report outlines some very alarming points. The report discusses the differences between the two HPV vaccinations Cervarix and Gardasil.
It States:-
“Both vaccines are designed to provide immunity against HPV-16 and 18: the two types of the virus responsible for about 70 per cent of cervical cancer cases. Gardasil also provides protection against HPV-6 and 11, which together cause nearly all genital warts. Broader-spectrum vaccines capable of protecting against hrHPVs other than HPV-16 and 18 may become available in due course. The vaccines differ from one another in terms of the adjuvants (vaccine-aiding agents) they utilise. Gardasil uses the well-established adjuvant aluminium hydroxyphosphate sulphate, while Cervarix uses the equally widely employed aluminium hydroxide, but in combination with monophosphoryl lipid A, a chemically modified lipopolysaccharide, that influences the innate immune system. The latter complex is known as ASO4. Cervarix stimulates higher levels of antibody production, but the significance of this phenomenon for its protective effect is not known.”
The report states that there is no real knowledge to how long the vaccine lasts or if a booster will be needed or if in fact it does protect against cervical cancer.
“Conclusions
Vaccination protects against persistent infection and the precursors of cervical cancer
The initial effect of vaccination is favourable: vaccination leads to the formation of antibodies against the target hrHPVs and thus to protection against infection by those hrHPVs. This in turn brings about a major short-term reduction in the incidence of the precursors of cervical cancer. It is known that the development of such precursors is a prerequisite for the subsequent development of the cancer. Vaccination against cervical cancer itself. However, whether vaccination does in fact protect against cervical cancer will not be known for many years to come.”
Lovely isn’t it? Then it states:-?
“It is not yet clear whether booster vaccinations will be needed
The duration of the protection afforded by vaccination has yet to be determined.It is known, however, that high antibody levels persist for at least five years and that immunological memory is created. Protection is required, however, for several decades. The possibility that re-vaccination will be needed in order to provide such prolonged protection cannot be excluded at the present time.”
It carries on
“Although the available data provide an incomplete picture of the effectiveness of HPV vaccination, they are sufficient to support the expectation of significant health benefit: vaccination leads to fewer infections and thus to a reduced incidence of the precursors of cervical cancer. We may therefore move on to the next criterion. Thus, this chapter of the report considers whether vaccination might have any adverse effects that offset the attainable health benefit.
Although the trials so far conducted have involved the administration of HPV vaccine to thousands of women (nearly 12,000 have been given Gardasil and more than 16,000 Cervarix), the numbers are small compared with those that would be involved in general vaccination. If vaccination were made available to all twelve-year-old girls in the Netherlands, that would mean treating roughly 100,000 young people a year. Certainty regarding the vaccine?s safety and insight into any rare side-effects that it might have are therefore very important.”
For me however, the hightlight of whole report and letter is in the Executive Summary at the beginning where it states quite clearly:-
“With regard to safety, the third assessment criterion, there is currently no reason to suppose that the vaccine has any adverse events that might preclude its inclusion in the NIP. Nevertheless, the possibility cannot be excluded that, if it were administered to large numbers of people, relatively uncommon adverse events might come to light in due course. This underlines the importance of careful monitoring following the introduction of this form of vaccination.”
I would particularly like to draw your attention to this phrase “relatively uncommon adverse events might come to light in due course” In other words the more they vaccinate the more likely it is that a serious adverse reaction will show up. That is really great news to all parents out there with children about to be vaccinated with Cervarix or Gardasil. Your children are part of a nationwide test but it is OK because if your child gets very bad reaction it will help determine the safety of the vaccine. I am sure that will be a great comfort to mothers of children like Ashleigh Cave who is still in hospital after a Cervarix vaccination. She has now been in hospital for 9 months, is just beginning to be able to put a very small amount of weight on her legs, cannot stand unaided and has recently lost bladder control at 13.
The news gets better for all you parents out there because Suzanne Garland who is the director of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the Royal Woman’s Hospital in Melbourne has decided she wants to include babies in the HPV vaccine trials. With the declaration last month by WHO that the so-called “swine flu” had reached pandemic “Level 6? (they actually had to change the definition of level 6 to make this declaration work!) a whole series of bureaucratic prerogatives have been triggered, further empowering local, state, national and international agencies.
We believe that this phony “Pandemic” has been created for dangerous strategic reasons, to finally strangle our remaining health freedoms, while hugely profiting the sickness industry.
This horrific potential must be prevented. We mean to protect our children and ourselves from a dangerous, weaponized vaccine created to trigger a weaponized primate-avian-porcine pandemic flu.
To do so, we have considered the power relationships among the various bureaucratic and commercial interests, the needs of the people, and have applied our targeted, and increasingly successful strategy of “push-back” — of new media based, mass net roots action — to strategically jab back, disrupting the power elite’s control agenda.

I don’t think I need to waste your time trying to convince you that the WHO / CDC / UN / Globalist agenda is dangerous to you, your businesses and your families. We are in the endgame of a very serious effort by the sickness industry to enable its “final solution” to the advanced healthcare options that we seek to protect.

Was the Self-Declared “Voice of Health Freedom” Asleep at Codex this Morning?
This morning at the Codex meeting here in Rome the topic was the relation of Private Standards to the Codex Standards. You will recall that Codex is a standard setting body. Their standards and guidelines, as you know, cover every bite of food or drink that goes into your body.
As you know, too, there is enormous money and political advantage to be gained from controlling those standards. If you manufacture chemicals/pesticides/veterinary drugs/fungicides, no matter how toxic, for example, you want standards and guidelines which allow as much of your materials in food residues as possible. Your company makes money, after all, from selling more of your stuff, no matter how dangerous or toxic your stuff might be.
Those defending access to clean, unadulterated food, on the other hand have a very different agenda: they want those standards and guidelines to be as low as possible to protect health and the environment. So there is a strong tension between the purveyors of poisons and adulterants and health freedom advocates.
Or at least, there should be. The organization which calls itself “The Voice of Health Freedom” did not utter a single word to protect your rights to clean, unadulterated food. Isn’t that why they are here? We cannot confirm that they are here, but they trumpet their role as the only health freedom organization which has a seat at the Codex table (and defensively commit slander and liable when we remind them that Codex rules and past Codex Chair say they need to share that table with other organizations, for example, us) but when there comes a moment for them to protect health and health freedom here at Codex, they remain astonishingly, disappointingly, but not surprisingly, totally silent. Not a word was said to assist you in maintaining your access to clean, wholesome nutrition.
Now, there is one other piece of information you need to understand my outrage (outage coming right up, folks): Private standards are set by national authorities (e.g., Iraqui Date Growers Organization”, regional ones (e.g., West African Coffee Growers Council”, industry ones (e.g., “Middle Eastern Pomegranate Manufacturers Association”, and global ones (e.g., “International Animal Feed Additive Foundation”) [note, these are not necessarily real organizations, I created their names to give you an idea of what these terms mean).
These private standard setters pose a real and direct threat to Codex in several ways.
First of all, they render Codex unnecessary if their standards are higher than those of Codex (and the easily can be since, as Singapore pointed out this morning, “Codex sets minimum standards and there are segments of the market such as consumers who want higher standards.”). If you have been following our Codex-related writings for a while, you will recall that we have developed a mechanism for countries to deviate from Codex standards by setting higher ones for their country which allows them to be safe from WTO (World Trade Organization) trade sanctions for doing so. We call it “The Codex 2 Step.”
Article 3 of the The Sanitary and PhytoSanitary Agreement (SPA, one of the group of agreements which forms the WTO) allows exactly that: different, higher standards which are then encoded by the nation which wishes to protect its food supply from the low – and potentially deadly – standard set by Codex at the behest of the industrial forces who seek to sell their products at the highest possible level without regard for health.
When the Natural Solutions Foundation, with the help of two outstanding attorneys, Ralph Fucetola, JD and Jim Turner, Esq., realized that possibility existed, we wrote the Codex eBook, http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?page_id=220.
It is worth noting that this same organization attacked us ferociously for promulgating this solution, saying that we were naive in the extreme and that our solution was wrong-headed and naive. Well, as it happens, when countries (including Hungary, the Netherlands and Austria) have employed our technique, they have won their cases with WTO, just as we said that they would.
To continue, here we sat at Codex while the Codex “Biggies” fought a turf battle, saying that all standard setting should belong to them, and that private standard setting bodies should conform to Codex standards and guidelines!
Note, Codex, in its arrogance and industry-serving stance, did not say, “We should lift our standards to better levels protecting health because that is, after all, our first mandate!” No, what it said was, “All other standard setting bodies should conform to our standards!” And they didn’t add, “Which degrade organic standards, allow dangerous levels of toxins and generally provide cover for the worst practices of industrialized Big Agra Biz.”
Well, just in case anyone did not get it, at that point Singapore said that Codex set MINIMUM standards and consumers should have the right to other, better, higher standards. There were other countries which said that they felt the same way. The Chair, of course, was not eager to hear any such thing. But that is to be expected.
What is NOT to be expected, however, is that the ONLY “health freedom organization” permitted to speak, according to their own trumpeting account of themselves, said what?

Here is what the Natural Solutions Foundation would have said if we hadn’t been shut out of the debate and censored:
“Mr. Chairman, the Natural Solutions Foundation, the world’s largest health freedom organization, thanks you for the opportunity to share the perspective of consumers who demand continuing and unhampered access to clean, unadulterated food. It is true, as Singapore has said, that Codex sets minimum standards from the point of view of quality, health promotion and safety since upper residue limits are routinely removed from dangerous agricultural chemicals and contaminants en bloc, leaving the consumer vulnerable to unlabeled dangers in their daily fare.
“It is also true that industry pressures have determined nearly every decision that Codex has taken leading to dangerous irradiation, hormone, veterinary drug, pesticide, GMO and other food degradation on a world-wide basis.
“It is equally true, Mr. Chairman, that the WTO allows for countries to adopt higher standards than those adopted by Codex if that country follows two steps: 1st, devising and adopting a higher standard or guideline than that ratified by the Codex Alimentarius Commission and 2nd, passing national legislation which embodies that higher standard.
“In this regard, consumers who demand food which is uncontaminated, and meets a higher standard, often find that private standard setting bodies offer them higher standards than those of Codex and may wish to have them enacted in the method I have briefly outlined above. These private, higher standards are of enormous importance in the protection of consumer health, environmental health and, perhaps most important, the freedom to access and choose healthy foods.
“The Natural Solutions Foundation strongly endorses the right of private bodies to set standards which exceed those of Codex, consumers to demand those standards, national governments to select these standards and enact legislation to support such standards and trade negotiations to lift other nations to these higher standards.
“Such an approach is also in keeping with WTO decisions over the decades to refuse to mandate Codex standards in trade disputes. Under WTO dispute resolution rules, Codex guidelines are merely presumptive evidence of the standards, unless a party to the dispute has adopted its own science-based standards.
“Thus, private standard setting bodies may play a role in the protection of both health and health freedom and we encourage Codex to work closely with those private standard setting bodies which elevate the quality of food on a national, regional and global basis. Health and freedom depend on it.”
But, of course, since the Natural Solutions Foundation has been excluded from the table by a group which is either not here, or mute, we were permitted to say no such thing.
We believe this is totally unacceptable. And is emblematic of what is seriously wrong with the Health Freedom Movement especially in the US and certain parts of Europe. What do you think?
When our Counsel was told, a year or so ago, by one of the “old hands” that his group could not work with us any more because “the other side” would ostracize them and criticize them for working with us, Gen. Bert remarked, “When you let the enemy dictate your actions, you are controlled by the enemy.” To which I hasten to add, “That’s why they call it a ‘controlled opposition’.”
And what is the opposite of controlled opposition?
We are the Free and Independent Opposition — you and we together — succeeding when we practice ‘push-back’ without regard to what the bureaucrats and lobbyists want.
