Re: emails going to state Senators
Emails Going to the Wrong Representatives?
You may have noticed that your advocacy campaign email submission was sent to your state Senator. You may think this was a mistake, but it was also sent to your federal representatives.
Sometimes issues are important on the state level as well as the federal level, and so we have your email going to your state representatives as well as your federal representatives.
If your submission was sent to the wrong federal or state representative, this could be due to one of two reasons: (1) you incorrectly entered your address or zip code (using your zip+4 will help especially if you live in a metro area), or (2) the third party service we use to send these campaign emails needs to update their database of who represents what areas.
If this latter is the case, please feel free to let us know, but as we have no direct control over when this information will get updated, all we can say is to check back within a week and try submitting the email again. If the issue is time sensitive, it might help to look up your representative’s website and submit a message to them directly through their website.
