Funny How Things Happen

I was preparing a new blast called "FDA: Another Reason to Go Organic!" (which I will send out shortly) when I came across this satire called "Silicon Crunch " which makes enough good points that I put off sending out "Another Reason" to share this wonderful piece with you.
Please read it carefully and you will see the face of FDA reality laid bare – you’ll laugh and cry at the same time!

Satire is one of the most important ways to make a point that is heavy, hard, difficult-to-swallow or just plain unpleasant. In fact, one of our correspondents decided to take on the hard-to-swallow "food" permitted by the FDA and made this astonishing little video **. Take a moment to decide: Are you ready for food that will not die?

Now for the Serious Side of Things

Satire makes a point with punch so it is hard to forget. That’s why it works so well to change minds and hearts.

The Natural Solutions Foundation is working hard to change minds and hearts, too. We are deeply involved with health freedom issues to make sure that your food is clean and your choices are open to you, too! The problem is international so the solution is international, too. That takes a lot of time and travel to create and follow up on personal contacts and official decision making to generate a community of health advocates inside and outside of Codex, inside and outside the US and inside and outside Congress.

That takes dedication. Check: We have dedication a-plenty. General Stubblebine and I, our lawyers, our national and international experts and advocates are all working diligently to exploit openings for health and freedom. As you know, the General and I closed our private medical practice to take on these issues in the closing days of 2004. Working without any salary or compensation whatsoever, our team has created options where non existed before, legal strategies where non seemed possible and friends of health and freedom around the world who have the capacity to impact the Codex process, shifting it toward health for humanity instead of disaster for the planet.

It takes strategic planning and tactical execution. We have that. Check: we are working with activists and government at home and abroad to bring concerted action to bear on the major problems posed by Codex and our own out-of-control, dangerous FDA/USDA/EPA. Our Codex template (applied first to vitamins and minerals) is a model for health policy being considered by a number of countries because of our input. And the EU followed our plan of action when it passed new legislation disallowing Genetically Modified foods without labeling in the EU recently!

It takes money. Oops. We don’t have as much of that as we need. Our first quarter goal is $85,000. That money is needed to take us from Thailand (where we are now) to India to follow up on their invitation to participate in drafting the regulatory structure for their recently passed and excellent food safety and standards law, to Ottawa for the Codex Committee on Food Labeling, to Santa Fe for a major meeting on Integrative Medicine where we are invited speakers, to Ghana where we have been invited to present a White Paper on GM foods in developing countries and their dangers, to Rome for the Codex Commission meeting and to elsewhere in Africa for high level meetings and the initiation of specific natural health support.
And that’s just the travel part. It takes a huge effort to build a movement, keep the website operating, carry out research and create documents which further our cause, etc., etc., etc.
