What Are We Fighting For?

There is a special term for those who cannot control what happens to their bodies. The word is “slave”. A land of men and women who cannot protect either their children or themselves from enforced dangers and who cannot make the health choices they value do not own their bodies. We are fighting an enemy bound and determined to take away our first freedom: our ownership of our bodies, expressed through our health freedom. Call the enemy tyranny, call it greed, call it Multinational Corporate Globalist Genocide. Call it what you like, it wants your body ill and it wants you subservient.

We are fighting an enemy which not only cares if you do not live or dies, but prefers that, after generating vast amounts of money through your suffering, you die promptly and with as little fuss as possible.

This enemy wants to take away your first, most precious, and most fundamental freedom: the freedom to All my life I have been eager to live in peace, and ready to fight to defend it. That is the way of the warrior and I am proud of my service to what I believed in over so many years when I defended my country. Now the way of the warrior is still my way, but, with you as my ally, we are fighting a far different enemy than the one that my soldiers and I have faced before.

This enemy is merciless and brutal, ready to leave us standing in place, but enslaved; working, but weak. The enemy is merciless, relentless greed (and worse) which wants us as sick as possible for as long as possible so that we are as profitable as possible. And then the enemy wants most of us dead.

The enemy is the New Feudalism, that terrifying system designed to replace our current economy and nation states with a depopulated hierarchy with a few pampered neo-aristocrats at the top of the heap with their servants and servitors around them to keep them comfortable and their technicians to keep their world humming. The rest of us, having served our purpose of generating unimaginable wealth, will have been disposed of through planned depopulation.

Does every one of their minions understand the ultimate goal? No, I think not. Has every one of the multinational corporate CEOs been read into the program? Again, I think not. Or the corrupt and dishonest government regulators? The greedy business men who put plastic in baby formula and chocolate bars? I think not.

But is the goal of weaponizing food to make us healthy and strong? I think not.

Is criminalizing 13 simple herbs and plants (like ginger, lemongrass and turmeric) used for millennia to control pests safely and cheaply in Thailand (but which compete with expensive and dangerous chemical preparations) designed to empower the farmer and keep him, his family, and his food’s consumers healthy? How about increasing the amount of insanely toxic materials we inject into babies and children, watching them deteriorate and die in record numbers and then branding those who use rational science to resist them “conspiracy theorists”? Is that designed to help the collective immune system or to destroy it? Is the fact that so far every case of whooping cough in New Jersey’s pertussis epidemic has been in a fully vaccinated child an isolated fluke? I think not.

The evidence is overwhelming, and the authorities make it clear (in the fine print) that vaccination does NOT prevent the disease being addressed. What they do not make clear is that vaccines irritate and stimulate the immune system, but its response does NOT convey immunity to the item injected, no matter how many irritants, adjuvants, toxins, metals, stray viruses and other horrors are injected along with it.

Is the fact that vaccines have never, no never, been proven safe OR effective, yet they are foisted upon us as if they were an accident? I think not.

Is it an accident that simple, effective, inexpensive and gentle cures, yes, cures, for cancer (like the ones that cured my potentially lethal prostate cancer 15 years ago and an unrelated paroted gland cancer 38 years ago) are ruthlessly and viciously suppressed while tragically ineffective, expensive and dangerous “treatments” for cancer are touted and trumpeted? I think not.

What are we fighting for? Freedom from slavery, pure and simple. Freedom or ourselves, our children and our right to be free men and women making our own health choices and exercising our basic, first freedom: health freedom.

2 cups full of common sense mixed with equal parts human dignity
A medium size pinch of historical perspective focused on prior, well defeated fascist thrusts
A dusting of inextinguishable humor (sardonic, ironic, gallows humor all work equally well)
Season to taste with inspirational sayings and tales of Founding Fathers, Mothers and Freedom Fighters

Preparation is Important!

Preparation is very important. You will need the right vessel to finish the brew so that its effects linger and become contagious:
In a crucible of pure Liberty Gold, transmuted from the oppression-era dross of lies and slavery, rapidly stir ingredients. Light a fire of truth under them and heat until they refuse to be quenched by the water of deceit. Try this several times. When the mixture is strong enough, the waters of disinformation, deceit and distortion will simply roll off to the side of the mixture and boil off.

When the potion begins to bubble, turn up the heat and wait a short time. You will note the sweet smell of personal liberty which is now rising from the information-rich bubbles forming in the freedom-brew.

If you are using a modern gigabyte system, you will have a chord available. If not, get any nearby 11 year old to program an old one for you. Using the chord supplied, plug the crucible into the internet. Exercise caution while using the long, insulated wire supplied because the packets of information will be hot and make the liberty infusion even hotter. Oddly, no matter how hot it gets, liberty information will not burn the consumer although it may make them uncomfortable at first when the truth gets out. With familiarity and increased rational though, however, people who sample it become very fond of its taste and effect and will go to great lengths to obtain and share more liberty information.

Note: this will act as a toxic brew when it comes into contact with fascists, even if they are wearing white coats.

FDA Files: Powerful Congresswoman Agrees with NSF: FDA Cannot Regulate Drugs, Food

We have Another Friend in Congress!
Powerful Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (D-CT) has adopted a position in line with what the Natural Solutions Foundation has been calling for over the last months: the FDA cannot regulate drugs and their major economic competitor, foods. She also applauds our oft-repeated assessment of the FDA’s performance in food safety is beyond dismal and cites the recent – and damning – Government Accountability Office (GAO) study to document just how dismal it is.

Up to now, the solution of the Federal Government to repeated exposure of how dangerous, corrupt and damaged the FDA is has been two fold: either Congress took away powers and responsibilities to set up new agencies (e.g., EPA, Consumer Protection Agency, Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, etc.) or they passed new legislation which gave the failed, and deadly, agency more money and more power to do a worse job with (e.g., 2008 FDA Reorganization Act). The current food safety crisis, with melamine approved for infants, GMO foods and cloned meats and milk approved without scientific studies showing they are safe, fluoridation of water permitted and encouraged despite massive scientific evidence documenting its dangers, irradiation of everything it can find a way to irradiate, including raw nuts and salad greens approved regardless of rational thought, growth hormones, pesticides, veterinary antibiotics permitted in outrageous doses, a relentless assault on dietary supplements, herbs and other non-drug health strategies, multinational servitude in Codex with disastrous results to the world food supply, etc., etc., etc., must be laid solely at the doorstep of one of the most dangerous and corrupt agencies in the history of the United State.
It is time to stop the losses and get food out of the dirty hands of the FDA. The same, of course, is true of the USDA. How? By giving food regulations back to the States where the local interest influences of consumers and the impact of local certification programs can help us to reclaim the production of safe, wholesome food and make it accessible for all of us once again.
Industrial food is killing us.

Food Safety Mustn’t Be Left In FDA’s Hands

For years now, the American people have learned to live with the possibility that their food may not be safe. The list of incidents has grown month after month, from spinach to shellfish from ground beef to peppers.

Now, a devastating salmonella outbreak has been tied to the Peanut Corp. of America and its Blakely, Ga., plant. It has killed eight people and sickened more than 500 people across the country, and a criminal investigation is underway to determine whether the producer knowingly sold a dangerous, contaminated product.

But this is not just a case of one bad actor. This salmonella outbreak is just the latest — and it represents the full-scale breakdown of a patchwork food safety system. When we look at recent headlines, it is hard not to see a food safety system in crisis — a dysfunctional federal agency, the Food and Drug Administration. unable to perform its mission and protect the American public.

Last month, the Government Accountability Office deemed that the regulatory activities governing food safety continue to pose a “high risk” to the economy and public health — the consequence of a fragmented legal and organizational structure with insufficient authority and too few resources to protect the American people.

While innocent people continued to get sick from contaminated peanut butter, the case lingered in jurisdictional limbo between the FDA and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, causing critical delays. And when the salmonella’s source was finally identified, FDA officials had to wait for industry approval before they could go live with the recall. That is not how a fully functioning regulatory agency is supposed to operate.

To truly fix inherent problems in our food safety system, we must fundamentally restructure the food safety bureaucracy at the FDA. Today, food safety is divided among multiple, separately managed units at the FDA — the Office of the Commissioner, the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, the Center for Veterinary Medicine, the field force (Office of Regulatory Affairs) and the National Center for Toxicological Research. As a result, there is no one single individual to be held accountable for food safety at the FDA or anywhere else at the federal level.

Separating food safety regulation from drug and device approvals would go a long way toward restoring the balance that has long been missing at the federal Department of Health and Human Services, and give food safety the attention it deserves. By establishing a Food Safety Administration within Health and Human Services, headed by its own commissioner, we can give food safety experts and researchers the room and the resources to do their jobs.

Because we need an agency fully committed to actively preventing food-borne illness, not just reacting to it, I have introduced the Food Safety Modernization Act. In addition to establishing a new, separate Food Safety Administration, this legislation would provide the regulatory tools to access important records, recall products and penalize companies for knowingly selling tainted products. It also would require traceability, mandate regular inspections, demand that imported food meet our safety standards and require companies to take preventive measures.

While these are not new ideas, the push for change could not be more urgent. With every recall, the American people grow more concerned and the momentum for reform grows. I know this is an important issue for many of my colleagues in Congress and I look forward to working with them to ensure food safety is a priority.

Ultimately, though, it starts at the top. For eight years, our food safety system has been crippled by disinvestment, mismanagement and a failure to meet its most basic regulatory responsibilities. True reform is going to require strong leadership from our president.

I am confident, at last, that we have a government that understands its obligation to its citizens and is ready to modernize our food safety system to better protect public health.

Earlier this week Dr. Rima and I had some preliminary meetings with The City of Knowledge Foundation in Panama, seeking additional support for the International Decade of Nutrition’s Valley of the Moon Eco Demonstration Project. In about 2 weeks we are being flown to Europe for a very special presentation that must remain quiet for now… We’ll be posting YouTube videos from that event, however, so check our YouTube channel often: http://youtube.com/naturalsolutions.

You see, Europe is already in the process of losing most of its supplements and all of its high potency ones. We in the US still enjoy access to them, but the FDA is gearing up to bring us into “HARMonziation” with the Codex Vitamin and Mineral Guideline just like Europe where the European Food Supplements Directive will make advanced health through high potency, varied nutritional supplements a criminal activity.

Natural treatments of all sorts are being seriously restricted there and the EU’s 27 countries met secretly not long ago to force GMO “franken foods” on a strongly unwilling population despite laws and objections. It’s a case of “follow the money – and you’ll find the genocidalists along with the bankers!” But Europe is waking up and Dr. Rima and I are making this trip to help that happen. We’ll keep you posted, of course.

After that, we’ll be filming some documentary footage and doing interviews and, I am happy to tell you, sneaking away for a few days of very, very much needed R&R. We’ll keep you posted on that, too.

It’s pretty ho-hum no-news that the FDA is failing miserably at every aspect of its mandate.

~Mercury in high fructose corn syrup (which is usually made from genetically modified “Franken Corn” ~MSG, a known neurological and pancreatic poison (of the excitotoxin class) in vaccines, kids food (and adults food, too) ~Melamine OK in baby’s formulas and the general food supply despite the fact that it can be lethal to babies and there was no safe level until the FDA unscientifically declared that there was ~Irradiated just-about-everything-including-salad-greens ~Antibiotics so widely used that antibiotic resistant (“flesh eating” staph shows up in pork and other foods, industrially genetically modified plants growing next to natural ones and contaminating them forever, ~Salmonella laced peanut butter ~Down graded organic foods to make Big Agribiz as happy as Big Pharma ~Conflicts of interest so blatant that the government no longer tries to deal wth them, ~Cattle producers forbidden to test their cattle for “mad cow” disease because they might find it, ~Sweeteners that can cause blindness, MS and brain damage, ~Acrylamide in snack foods, ~Dangerous unlabeled GMOs passed off as “equivalent” so consumers won’t ask, don’t know, ~Veterinary drugs and pesticides permitted in food despite known hazards, ~Viruses sprayed on foods, ~Cloned meat and milk, and on and on and on.

Thanks to the FDA, the “Fraud and Death Agency”, and the USDA, the “” agency, the US diet is not life sustaining: it is disease and death inducing. Our diet, thanks to these agencies, is literally killing us. Why? Because the regulators work for, and owe their allegiance – and their financial well-being, to the regulated industries.

Enough!

Congressional report after Congressional report, Hearing after Hearing makes it clear that the agencies charged with protecting our food can no more do that than the EPA can clean up and protect our environment. Again and again Congress affirms that the agencies have failed and then “solves” the problem by acting like the lunatic who, unsuccessful at a problem, does the same thing again, making the problem worse, not better.

Enough!

Congress take note: throwing money at the FDA and USDA and giving them more authority does not solve the problem. We have 80 years of proof that this strategy just makes things worse.

Enough!

Yes, the only answer is to take food regulatory authority away from these death dealing agencies and give it back to the States where popular pressure and control is far more meaningful. How to do that? By the same kind of pressure that made Congress do a 180º reversal of direction in 1994. Instead of voting to ban all nutrients (are you noticing a pattern here?) they responded to the millions of letters from Americans from all walks of life and passed legislation treating nutrients as foods which, as such, should not be regulated as if they were drugs. That legislation is called the Dietary Supplements Health and Education Act (DSHEA) and public pressure in its favor is the ONLY reason that we have access to dietary supplements at all.

The lesson is clear. It is public pressure, like the 2×4 the apocryphal farmer used to get the mule’s attention, which drives enlightened public policy, NOT politicians and certainly not the lobbyists they routinely bow to.

The FDA does a poor enough job “regulating” dangerous and deadly drugs. There is no way an agency so pervasively corrupt and inept can change its ways and suddenly become the custodian of health and healthy foods when those very foods are the chief economic competitor of the drugs whose approval supplies the lion’s share of the operating budget of the FDA through “Users Fees”. The conflict of interest is so monumental that it fairly takes your breath away.

Enough!

Drugs are not the very core of life. Food is.

During 2009, the Natural Solutions Foundation will be creating and pursuing a campaign to take back our food from the inept and corrupt hands of the US Government (which also means getting the FDA and USDA out of Codex, by the way). The multiple ways Monsanto is putting normal seeds out of reach

People say if farmers don’t want problems from Monsanto, just don’t
buy their GMO seeds.

Not so simple. Where are farmers supposed to get normal seed these
days? How are they supposed to avoid contamination of their fields
from GM-crops? How are they supposed to stop Monsanto detectives from trespassing or Monsanto from using helicopters to fly over spying on them?

Monsanto contaminates the fields, trespasses onto the land taking
samples and if they find any GMO plants growing there (or say they
have), they then sue, saying they own the crop. It’s a way to make
money since farmers can’t fight back and court and they settle because they have no choice.

And they have done and are doing a bucket load of things to keep
farmers and everyone else from having any access at all to buying,
collecting, and saving of NORMAL seeds.

1. They’ve bought up the seed companies across the Midwest.

2. They’ve written Monsanto seed laws and gotten legislators to put
them through, that make cleaning, collecting and storing of seeds so
onerous in terms of fees and paperwork and testing and tracking every
variety and being subject to fines, that having normal seed becomes
almost impossible (an NAIS approach to wiping out normal seeds). Does your state have such a seed law? Before they existed, farmers just collected the seeds and put them in sacks in the shed and used them the next year, sharing whatever they wished with friends and
neighbors, selling some if they wanted. That’s been killed.

In Illinois which has such a seed law, Madigan, the Speaker of the
House, his staff is Monsanto lobbyists.

3. Monsanto is pushing anti-democracy laws (Vilsack’s brainchild,
actually) that remove community’ control over their own counties so
farmers and citizens can’t block the planting of GMO crops even if
they can contaminate other crops. So if you don’t want a GM-crop that grows industrial chemicals or drugs or a rice growing with human DNA in it, in your area and mixing with your crops, tough luck.

Check the map of just where the Monsanto/Vilsack laws are and see if
your state is still a democracy or is Monsanto’s. A farmer in Illinois
told me he heard that Bush had pushed through some regulation that
made this true in every state. People need to check on that.

4. For sure there are Monsanto regulations buried in the FDA right now
that make a farmer’s seed cleaning equipment illegal (another way to
leave nothing but GM-seeds) because it’s now considered a “source of
seed contamination.” Farmer can still seed clean but the equipment now has to be certified and a farmer said it would require a million to a
million and half dollar building and equipment … for EACH line of
seed. Seed storage facilities are also listed (another million?) and
harvesting and transport equipment. And manure. Something that can
contaminate seed. Notice that chemical fertilizers and pesticides are
not mentioned.

You could eat manure and be okay (a little grossed out but okay). Try
that with pesticides and fertilizers. Indian farmers have. Their top
choice for how to commit suicide to escape the debt they have been
left in is to drink Monsanto pesticides.

5. Monsanto is picking off seed cleaners across the Midwest. In Pilot
Grove, Missouri , in Indiana (Maurice Parr ), and now in southern
Illinois (Steve Hixon). And they are using US marshals and state
troopers and county police to show up in three cars to serve the poor
farmers who had used Hixon as their seed cleaner, telling them that he
or their neighbors turned them in, so across that 6 county areas, no
one talking to neighbors and people are living in fear and those
farming communities are falling apart from the suspicion Monsanto
sowed. Hixon’s office got broken into and he thinks someone put a
GPS tracking device on his equipment and that’s how Monsanto found
between 200-400 customers in very scattered and remote areas, and
threatened them all and destroyed his business within 2 days.

So, after demanding that seed cleaners somehow be able to tell one
seed from another (or be sued to kingdom come) or corrupting
legislatures to put in laws about labeling of seeds that are so
onerous no one can cope with them, what is Monsanto’s attitude about labeling their own stuff? You guessed it – they’re out there pushing laws against ANY labeling of their own GM-food and animals and of any exports to other countries. Why?

We know and they know why.

As Norman Braksick, the president of Asgrow Seed Co. (now owned by
Monsanto) predicted in the Kansas City Star (3/7/94) seven years ago, “If you put a label on a genetically engineered food, you might as
well put a skull and crossbones on it.”

And they’ve sued dairy farmers for telling the truth about their milk
being rBGH-free, though rBGH is associated with an increased risk of
breast, colon and prostate cancers.

I just heard that some seed dealers urge farmers to buy the seed under the seed dealer’s name, telling the farmers it helps the dealer get a discount on seed to buy a lot under their own name. Then Monsanto sues the poor farmer for buying their seed without a contract and extorts huge sums from them.

Here’s a youtube video that is worth your time. Vandana Shiva is one
of the leading anti-Monsanto people in the world. In this video, she
says (and this video is old), Monsanto had sued 1500 farmers whose
fields had simply been contaminated by GM-crops. Listen to all the
ways Monsanto goes after farmers.

Do you know the story of Gandhi in India and how the British had salt
laws that taxed salt? The British claimed it as theirs. Gandhi had
what was called a Salt Satyagraha, in which people were asked to break the laws and march to the sea and collect the salt without paying the British. A kind of Boston tea party, I guess.

Thousands of people marched 240 miles to the ocean where the British
were waiting. As people moved forward to collect the salt, the British
soldiers clubbed them but the people kept coming. The non-violent
protest exposed the British behavior which was so revolting to the
world that it helped end British control in India.

Vandana Shiva has started a Seed Satyagraha – nonviolent
non-cooperation around seed laws – has gotten millions of farmers to
sign a pledge to break those laws.

American farmers and cattlemen might appreciate what Gandhi fought for and what Shiva is bringing back and how much it is about what we are all so angry about – loss of basic freedoms.

The Seed Satyagraha is the name for the nonviolent, noncooperative
movement that Dr. Shiva has organized to stand against seed
monopolies. According to Dr. Shiva, the name was inspired by Gandhi’s
famous walk to the Dandi Beach, where he picked up salt and said,

“You can’t monopolize this which we need for life.” But it’s not just the
noncooperation aspect of the movement that is influenced by Gandhi.
The creative side saving seeds, trading seeds, farming without
corporate dependence-–without their chemicals, without their seed.

“All this is talked about in the language that Gandhi left us as a
legacy. We work with three key concepts.”

“(One) Swadeshi…which means the capacity to do your own
thing–produce your own food, produce your own goods….”

“(Two) Swaraj–to govern yourself. And we fight on three
fronts-–water, food, and seed. JalSwaraj is water independence–water freedom and water sovereignty. Anna Swaraj is food freedom, food sovereignty. And Bija Swaraj is seed freedom and seed sovereignty. Swa means self–that which rises from the self and is very, very much a deep notion of freedom.

“I believe that these concepts, which are deep, deep, deep in Indian
civilization, Gandhi resurrected them to fight for freedom. They are
very important for today’s world because so far what we’ve had is
centralized state rule, giving way now to centralized corporate
control, and we need a third alternate. That third alternate is, in
part, citizens being able to tell their state, ‘This is what your
function is. This is what your obligations are,’ and being able to
have their states act on corporations to say, ‘This is something you
cannot do.'”

“(Three) Satyagraha, non-cooperation, basically saying, ‘We will do
our thing and any law that tries to say that (our freedom) is illegal…
we will have to not cooperate with it. We will defend our freedoms to
have access to water, access to seed, access to food, access to
medicine.'”

Institutionalized Insanity in the Service of Genocide: The World Bank and Lawrence Summers

I nominate Lawrence Summers for the Natural Solutions Foundation Hall of Shame. Perhaps the fact that he has been nominated for a second term as the Secretary of the Treasury by our newly elected President should widen that nomination.

The following memo by Lawrence Summers was written in 1991, when Mr. Summers was the Chief Economist for the World Bank. Mr. Summers was President of Harvard University until he noted in public that women lack the mental ability to do science.

Just in case you thought that the notion of a genocidal agenda by the global elite is “just a conspiracy theory”, please read the words of Mr. Summers himself rationalizing polluting the developing world because it is cheap, effective and the increased cancer ratios will not show since the people there do not live long enough to develop the cancers.

This insane “logic” was effectively pierced by the Brazilian Minister of Environment whose comments follow.

Mr. Summers is, as of today, President Obama’s pick for Secretary of the Treasury, a position he held under President Clinton as well.

‘Dirty’ Industries: Just between you and me, shouldn’t the World Bank be encouraging MORE migration of the dirty industries to the LDCs [Less Developed Countries]? I can think of three reasons:

1) The measurements of the costs of health impairing pollution depends on the foregone earnings from increased morbidity and mortality. From this point of view a given amount of health impairing pollution should be done in the country with the lowest cost, which will be the country with the lowest wages. I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to that.

2) The costs of pollution are likely to be non-linear as the initial increments of pollution probably have very low cost. I’ve always though that under-populated countries in Africa are vastly UNDER-polluted, their air quality is probably vastly inefficiently low compared to Los Angeles or Mexico City. Only the lamentable facts that so much pollution is generated by non-tradable industries (transport, electrical generation) and that the unit transport costs of solid waste are so high prevent world welfare enhancing trade in air pollution and waste.

3) The demand for a clean environment for aesthetic and health reasons is likely to have very high income elasticity. The concern over an agent that causes a one in a million change in the odds of prostrate cancer is obviously going to be much higher in a country where people survive to get prostrate cancer than in a country where under 5 mortality is is 200 per thousand. Also, much of the concern over industrial atmosphere discharge is about visibility impairing particulates. These discharges may have very little direct health impact. Clearly trade in goods that embody aesthetic pollution concerns could be welfare enhancing. While production is mobile the consumption of pretty air is a non-tradable.

The problem with the arguments against all of these proposals for more pollution in LDCs (intrinsic rights to certain goods, moral reasons, social concerns, lack of adequate markets, etc.) could be turned around and used more or less effectively against every Bank proposal for liberalization.

Postscript

After the memo became public in February 1992, Brazil’s then-Secretary of the Environment Jose Lutzenburger wrote back to Summers: “Your reasoning is perfectly logical but totally insane… Your thoughts [provide] a concrete example of the unbelievable alienation, reductionist thinking, social ruthlessness and the arrogant ignorance of many conventional ‘economists’ concerning the nature of the world we live in… If the World Bank keeps you as vice president it will lose all credibility. To me it would confirm what I often said… the best thing that could happen would be for the Bank to disappear.” Sadly, Mr. Lutzenburger was fired shortly after writing this letter.

Mr. Summers, on the other hand, was appointed the U.S. Treasury Secretary on July 2nd, 1999, and served through the remainder of the Clinton Administration. Afterwards, he was named president of Harvard University.
