Good news/Bad News

September 6th, 2005

The good news is that we have written to 297 members of Congress to tell them we want them to attend the Congressional Codex Briefing , http://tinyurl.com/c5jmw, at noon on September 20, 2005, Room 2220 Rayburn. The bad news is that we have written to only 297 members of Congress to tell them that we want them to attend the briefing.

We are definitely on the right track and if you have sent your emails, thank you. And if you have sent the information out to your circle of influence, thank you for that, too. And if you are about to start a meetup, http://healthfreedom.meetup.com, (a local group of people who share you interest in health and health freedom and meet in a convenient spot like a Starbucks) I thank you deeply.

Grass roots is the name of the game. Numbers is the name of the grass roots game. Numbers will do it. Period. Thousands of emails and calls to the Congressional Switchboard, 202-224-3121, will get Congress to the Codex Briefing. Just thinking about it will not.

I have to tell you that I was thrilled to see that we are working the system so vigorously and so well. We are on the right track, to be sure. But, sad to say, Congress still needs more prodding. There are a whole lot of Congressional offices which have nowhere near the necessary 100 emails and calls yet.

We are building a movement to take back our health autonomy and our health freedom. We will NOT allow anyone to take away our right to make our own health choices.

And, by the way, for those of you who have supported our fund raising drive, once again, I thank you profoundly. Once the total for today is added, we will top the half way mark. Won’t you please add your donation to the others that sustain and support the Natural Solutions Foundation today? Every penny goes for the work of health freedom, there is no fat, only working muscle in this part of the body politic.

Just 100 To Change History!

September 5th, 2005

I just received a really nice email from a lady in Asheville, NC who said that when she contacted one of her Congressmen, Senator Burr, she was told that there was no Codex problem since “ThenNational Institute of Medicine will take care of us”! Holy Jumpin’ Gehosephat! Senator Burr apparently swims around in a cognitive stew with pieces of information brushing his nose and getting swatted away without ever being processed or digested.

Senator Burr and his prickly ilk are exactly the people who need to be at the Congressional Codex Briefing on September 20 at noon in Room 2220 Rayburn. How do we get them there? You tell them you want them to attend the Codex Briefing! If enough of you say it, they will get the idea and they will show up. We’ll tell them what Codex really is and what it means.

I was told today by a Washington insider that if just 100 people in each state email Congress , http://tinyurl.com/c5jmw, or call the Congressional Switchboard at 202-224-3121 Congress would see the groundswell and get themselves and their senior aides (very important) to the Codex Briefing. Just 100 in each state! We have supporters in every single state. This is an achievable goal!

I ask you to please take the responsibility seriously to let your Congressional Delegation know that you want them to attend this briefing. And share the task with your circle of influence by email so that they can go to http://tinyurl.com/c5jmw and do the same.

And, at the health freedom meetup, http://healthfreedom.meetup.com, you start (hint, hin!) you can help everyone else to do the same. If you are ready to start a meetup, go to http:/healthfreedom.meetup.com, sign up and we’re off! Contact me at info@healthfreeomusa.org for organizing materials, etc.

Thanks for your help!

Meetup! Standup! Speakup!

September 4th, 2005

Have you set up your local meetup yet for September 13, 2005 at 7:30? Yes? Congratulations! No? Well, now would be a really good time to do that. It’s really easy and will put you in touch with others who feel the same way you do about health freedom. Here’s how: Go to our meetup page, and start a meetup. Why? Because protection our health freedom is going to take a lot of us and meetup.com is a perfect way for us to find each other.

What to do at the meetup? The purpose of our first Health Freedom Meetup is to

1. Get to know each other around health freedom
2. Help everyone there to notify Congress to attend the Congressional Briefing on Codex on September 20, 2005 at noon, Room 2220 Rayburn
3. Enlist everyone to notify their circles of influence about the Congressional Briefing so that Congress gets a lot of input on this Briefing
4. Have a discussion about local action that you can take to raise awareness about health freedom in your community
5. Make realistic plans to carry out one project in your community which can inform other people about the issue.

The perfect meetup would have a computer (Starbucks are often configured for wireless) to allow people to send their request to their Congressmen to attend the Congressional Codex Briefing,
No computer? No worry. The meetup (computer or no) is a wonderfully effective means to getting your personal convictions up and running as a general item of social awareness to protect our rights to natural health and clean, unadulterated food.

Contact me at info@healthfreedomusa.org and I will email you materials to make your meetup easier to organize including Action Steps, Talking Points, Members List, membership forms, etc. I have postponed my local HealthFreedomMeetup so that I can be available to you by phone or speaker phone to say “Hi” and offer support. If you are running a meetup we can schedule a call. That would be terrific!.

Being a Meetup organizer costs $20 bucks a month, but I suggest you share the cost with the folks who come. If that’s not comfortable for you, the Natural Solutions Foundation will help you work it out. Just email me at info@healthfreedomusa.org and we’ll make it work. There is no way we are going to let $20 stand in the way of your community meetup! No way, no how! This is too important!

Awake, aware people standing up and making themselves heard: that’s how we will keep, and expand, our health freedom. Don’t believe it? Look at DSHEA, the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 which was passed by unanimous Congressional consent in 1994 when no Congressman in the country dared to oppose what was clearly the will of the people. We did it then, we can do it now. Before the population of this country rose up in clear political action saying, “Don’t you dare touch my health freedoms!” Congress was getting set to ban them all together. Congress was told in no uncertain terms that they could do that but it would end their political careers. They backed off.

Sounds good to me re: Codex and any restriction on natural health options. How about you? If you like the idea of a bunch of foreign bureaucrats telling you that you can’t have nutrients at clinically effective doses because they have declared nutrients to be toxins (!) but you have no choice but to eat contaminated foods ( e.g. , deadly banned pesticides, hormones, veterinary drugs and antibiotics, irradiation, etc), then, by all means, do not organize a meetup. If, on the other hand, that does not appeal to you, here’s your opportunity to make yourself heard!

See you at the First Health Freedom Meetup, September 13, 7:30 PM!

Meet Up With Find Your Health Freedom Buddies!

September 4th, 2005

I just did something that I can’t wait to share with you! One of our challenges in a grass roots, global village is finding each other. We now have a sophisticated electronic way to hook up with other people in our own locals in the same way that we can via the internet. It’s called meetup.com (URL: http://www.meetup.com/) Go there and enter “Health Freedom”. You will be directed to The Health Freedom Meetup. If you join the Meetup in your town, let me know and we will help you organize it.

Here’s how it works: if you would like to have a Health Freedom Meetup in your area (even if you don’t know anyone else to invite to your Meetup), look for a Health Freedom meetup in your area (you’ll be asked for your zip code). Go to “Fnd a Meetup Group” and enter “Health Freedom”. If there isn’t one in your area, become an organizer. It’s simple and it’s easy. That let’s you organize a Meetup on the same day and at the same time as all the other Health Freedom Meetups (or at another time if you can’t make that one although it is best if we all meet on the same day).

Meetup.com let’s us all communicate with one another, organize events that are bigger than our local meetings and share information and experience, fliers, ideas, etc. with each other. Privacy is assured and no one needs to travel long distances to meet with people who care about health freedom, too. Ask your local Starbucks or similar site if you can meet there once a month (or more often as the need arises). Make your meeting short, focused and to the point and let us know what happens so we can help coordinate what you are doing with others around the countries who are doing the similar things.

An urgent priority is getting people in your Meetup active so that they and everyone they know tells their Congressmen and women to attend the Congressional Codex Briefing, September 20 (time TBA) Room 2220 Rayburn by going to our email engine, http://tinyurl.com/c5jmw. (I’m now including URLs because when the email gets forwarded, sometimes the link does not transmit).

There is a $19 per month Meetup fee which people can help the organizer cover through dues (payable by paypal). I would suggest a meeting fee of $19 divided by the number of people at the Meetup for starters.

I am really excited about using global electronic communication to help us act locally and keep America Codex free!

Let me know that you are having a Meetup and we will provide material which will make your task easier and more effective. So let’s Meetup on Tuesday, September 13 at 7:30PMshall we? See you then!

Fear the Flu Fix

September 2nd, 2005

Mercury is not a good thing to put in your bodies. That much is clear to any open minded person who does not have a conflict of interest clouding his/her thinking (or speaking, at least).

I believe that heavy metal toxicity is one of the major factors accounting for the epidemic of that tragic and largely preventable disease, autism. So does Dr. David Ayoub, the director of the Prairie Collaborative for Immunization. Dr. Ayoub, a radiologist, believes that the evidence linking mercury with the deep tragedy of a perfectly normal child becoming a struggling, damaged human being through an unnecessary poisoning is irrefutable.

Four out of 5 vaccines for flu contain mercury, as much as 25 micrograms per dose. Since the EPA’s “safe limit” is 1/250 of that (0.1 microgram) every person who allows themselves to receive a flu vaccine shot gets an overdose. In fact, only an adult who weighs 550 lbs or more would receive a mercury dose in line with The Center for Disease Control recommendations.

But they are taking the mercury out of vaccines, aren’t they? Nope, they are not. Many vaccines still have mercury (thimerisol) and there is no indication that the mercury is scheduled for removal. (Of course, the next generation of vaccines contains squalene, which is much worse. More of that in another blog).

Here’s the kicker: mercury is known to pass the placental barrier. Fetuses are known to be particularly sensitive to heavy metal poisoning, especially mercury and could, with a single shot to their pregnant mother, receive several hundred times the EPA recommended dose (which I believe is not safe even at that lower level).

Astonishingly, however, in 2004 CDC specified that young infants and pregnant women should receive the flu vaccine, exposing more babies and fetuses to much more mercury although there is little or no benefit to the pregnant woman. The risks to the fetus, however, are considerable. In the case of pregnant women, the benefit of flu vaccination was minimal, yet the risks to the unborn infant could be significant.

Vaccine manufacturers admit that adequate testing has not been carried out on flu vaccine for mothers and babies. The Fluzone insert says:

“Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza Virus Vaccine. It is not known whether Influenza Virus Vaccine can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity.”

What do you need to avoid the flu? Many people rely on homeopathic flu prevention. Homeopathy has an outstanding record in the prevention of epidemic diseases. But many more use common sense and nutritional sophistication to make sure that their immune systems are in tip-top shape.

In any epidemic, some people get sick and some don’t. Of the ones who get sick, if the epidemic is a killer, some will die and some won’t. The difference: the immune systems of the survivors and the people who did not get sick were in better shape.

Codex will damage the immune systems of every one on the planet. Because of that , people will sicken and die who otherwise would not have just as autistic children sicken who otherwise would not have it they had not been given vaccinations.

The message: guard your immune system carefully. Choose your prevention strategies carefully. And if it has mercury in it, choose another option!
